After World War II, development increased along Buffalo Bayou with new housing developments surrounding the old trading post site where Georgetown now sits; these buildings form the nucleus of downtown NULL City Park today. The current incarnation of downtown NULL City Park began to take shape in the early 1960s when local businessmen selected land nearNULL City Cemetery off US Highway 281 as their potential site for a municipal park utilizing much-needed open space adjacent to their businesses and residences. A $5 million bond issue was issued to finance construction beginning in 1966; project completion coincided with nationwide urban renewal efforts that transformed downtown Dallas into one giant shopping mall anchored by several large department stores including Sears Roebuck & Co., JCPenney Inc., Kmart Inc., Macy’s Inc., Bob Smith’s Clothing Warehouse and Paper Mill Warehouse among others during this time period Downtown NULL City Park contains over 100 acres (40 hectares) situated upon three main valleys totaling more than 500 feet (150 metres) deep giving it plenty of room for sports fields, playgrounds, picnics areas, walking trails and other recreational uses while also serving as a central node connecting several neighborhoods within close proximity . Plans are underway to add even more acreage to NULL City Park over time through annexation or purchased interests by community groups who support its duplication or expansion . Today'sesslerive skyline view from downtown NULL City Park can be seen extending all around northwest Austin resulting from recent construction projects such as replacement/updates to nearby I-35W expressway which has taken up valuable real estate next door

Georgetown is a small town located in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 569 at the 2010 census. It was named for St. John's Parish in New Orleans, Louisiana. Georgetown was founded in 1881 by early settlers of the area who were looking for a place to farm and build their homes. The original name of the town was "Fayetteville" but change came about because of an error made when naming streets in the town after people or places that had already passed away. The first post office opened in 1882 and continued operation until it closed on October 15, 1903. A new post office called Georgetown was established on January 10, 1904 and operated until it closed on July 1, 1912. In 1909, a train depot and grain elevator were built at what is now known as Friendship Park adjacent to the present day High School campus across from Main Street. This depot served as the community's initial transportation link with Johnston County and other nearby counties for local trade and agriculture until Highway 95 became available through Johnson County in 1922 . In 1925, two churches – First Presbyterian (founded in 1876) and Methodist (founded 1865) – both moved from Fayetteville to Georgetown due to dwindling attendance at their respective churches thereabouts . The first high school opened for students in 1927 at what is now Main Street Elementary School; however, enrollment never grew large enough to warrant construction of a separate building subsequent to this point . By 1930, only one-third of all residents lived within walking distance of either school while only one-fifth attended either one ; Expansion efforts into neighboring towns spawned by this situation culminated with the establishment of White Settlement Township southeast of Georgetown along Ulysses S. Grant Boulevard on November 12 1956 which gave birth not only to White Settlement Elementary School but also White Settlement High School which would become Gilmore Middle School before finally becominglahighschool under current name Gillem Middle/High School following its reopening in 2013 after more than 50 years absence
