In 1882, Galena Park was settled by the Brazos River Indians. The first settler in Galena Park was James Hogg. By 1892, the town had a population of about 100 people. The name of the post office was changed to Galena Park in 1912. In 1916, a water tower was erected in Galena Park and it served as a water source for many residents until 1951 when an pipeline replaced it. In 1932, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) arrived in Galena Park with its new semiconductor plant named TI-GalenPark. It would be their mainstay until their closure in 1986. TI also founded the Texas Tech University Extension Service which continues to serve residents today as one of the most important services offered to local students and residents. Theaters were built around 1920s including Theaters on Rancho Luna which burned down on Nov 25th 1921 but is still standing as audible evidence from that time period
Galena Park is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas, west of Dallas. The population was 17,711 at the 2010 census, making it the third-largest city in Dallas County and one of its five cities. Galena Park is home to many businesses and institutions that have a significant impact on daily life in the city, including Baylor University (the largest university in Dallas County), North Central College, Clear Creek Regional Medical Center, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority's Blue Line. The park occupies most of two blocks between Elm Street and East Worth Avenue on the edge of what used to be West End neighborhood near downtownDallas. It opened as part of West End Village redevelopment project in 1916 as a public open space for common use by citizens and workers employed by companies withinWest End Village boundaries; it became a municipally owned park after annexation by Dallas in 1924. The first golf course outside New York City was built hereaboutsin 1927; today's course is operated by Fairway Golf Links Inc., which replaced Harry Blackmon's original course that had been built nearbyon Turtle Bayou from 1915-27 when Turtle Bayou became an Army airfield after World War I ended hostilities between America and Great Britain. In 1966 Galena Park was annexed into Arlington Heights as part of local government consolidation under Mayor Harold Washington; Arlington Heights mayor John Fritzler opposed annexation because he felt it would diminish Arlington Heights' control over Galena Park proper while extraterritoriality problems with neighboring municipalities such as Irving were ignored; however, Fritzler yielded to pressure from then-mayor Richard Riordan to annex because he saw no other way to achieve Riordan's goal of creating "a big comprehensive community" lacking only "littleHouston orDallas". In 1976 Galena Park voting residents chose acting City Manager Art Walls to succeed then-manager Dick Hogginton following Hogginton's resignation due to health concerns caused by low levels of oxygen at his home office complex where he lived with his wife; Walls served until 1980 when he succeeded Hogginton permanently. From 1981 through 1990 Walles ran unsuccessfully for Austin mayor against incumbent Ann Richards before becoming Travis County Sheriff beginning January 1st 1994 succeeding Bill Decker who resigned effective February 15th 1993 due to term limits set forth in the Texas Constitution during Houston mayoral election that year He was succeeded by Phil Bledsoe who continued service until May 3rd 2003 when his successor Tom Leach took office following the November 3rd general election victory of George W Bush over Bob McNair resulting in Houston becoming an independent county once again However on July 1st 2009 after more than two years delay Galena Park voters passed Resolution 54 opposing annexation into Arlington Heights again despite Community Services District #2 lobbyist Darrell Issa stating they would be able to provide services "even if we stay out [of] town" making it effectively impossible for any new development or services ever taking place within their boundaries again

In 1810, a man by the name of Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed and built the first successful firearm using compressed air. It was called the “Conte Gun” and it was made from lead, wood, brass, and feathers. This gun was used by French military officers in order to take down enemy positions. Airguns began being developed in earnest in the early 1800s. One of the earliest examples of an airgun was invented by George Stephenson in 1814. He designed and built the “Towton Gun” which used compressed air to launch projectiles at high speeds. By 1850, there were more than 50 different types of airguns available on the market!

Galena Park is a small town in the U.S. state of Texas, located about 20 miles south-southwest of Dallas. The population was 1,878 at the 2010 census. Galena Park is part of the Fort Worth–Aurora metropolitan area. The first European to visit what is now Galena Park was José de Urrea on July 24, 1769 while exploring the Trinity River valley as part of his exploration of northwest Texas. He named it San Patricio de las Villas de la Encinas y el ganado (St Patrick's Parish and Goats). A mission was established there in 1836 by Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla with fifty Mexican soldiers under Lieutenant José Antonio Armijo as its priests and Brothers Pedro Moya and Francisco Xavier Pacheco as their assistants. At that time it served as a stopping point for wagon trains carrying goods up the Trinity River from New Orleans to Fort Worth before continuing downriver to Bradyville via Stockyards Crossing on the Red River. In 1849, Galena Park became home to James Kenedy's cattle ranch when he purchased 5,000 acres (20 km2) from David Ewing along the Brazos River near present-day Hwy 191/FM 927 east of town limits; this land later became known as Kenedy Ranch State Historical Site adjacent to current day Lake Ray Hubbard where artifacts from his era can be found including tools used by him during his years ranching operations in Galena Park and other parts of Fort Worth County
