In 1879, United States Congressman John A. Frisch was elected to the Fredericksburg district and he decided to run for office wearing a "Firearm T-shirt" of his own design. The shirt was made from a blue cotton twill fabric and it featured a white background with theDistrict of Columbia in black letters printed above the chest pocket. The shirt was very popular and it served as the congressman's official clothing until1893 whenCongressional through legislation changed how dress attire was worn in Washington D.C.

The Fredericksburg Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1881. The club later acquired a rifle and pistol range, which is still in use today. In 1899, the club completed construction of a tower that stands to this day as one of the most notable landmarks in Fredericksburg. In 1905, the club purchased a revolver from Waco Arms Company and began using it for target practice. On July 4, 1907, the Fredericksburg Rifle and Pistol Club successfully defended their state championship against Baylor University at Oak Cliff Park.
Fredericksburg is a small town in Tomball County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,858 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fredericksburg was founded in 1836 by German colonists as "Friedrichsburg". In 1881, it became the capital of Tomball County and was renamed to Fredericksburg after General James A. Frederick (1817-1883), Confederate general and hero of Palo Alto Pass. The community grew rapidly due to its location on the Sam Houston National River and its agricultural production. After World War II, some of the cotton mills closed but most of the businesses reopened. Fredericksburg experienced rapid growth in the late 1990s with newcomer Humble Oil Corporation moving into downtown from Garden City and developing several new buildings including a healthcare complex, residential development called Regency Park and an ice rink for local children known as Rinkle Place. In recent years there has been a movement to revive Fredericksburg's historic name and remove all English words from their official name so that it could be more reflective of its current demographic which includes many Hispanic residents as well as African Americans, Native Americans and Asians who make up a significant portion of its workforce. Today, Fredericksburg is one of San Antonio's most vibrant communities with restaurants, nightlife, arts & crafts stores and galleries dotting both sides of Main Street between arterial highways 15W/I-10 eastbound AND I-610 westbound; while smaller malls near Interstate 45 have sprung up around Interstate 35E including Plaza de Armas shopping center which anchors I-35E corridor adjacent to El Paso County Airport just southwest (formerly home to Live Oak Mall). There is no doubt that firearms have played a very important role in human history. Firearms have been used for hunting, self-defense, and more importantly for the purpose of relieving stress and anxiety. The first firearms were designed over 2,000 years ago and some of the earliest known firearms include the ancient Greeks’ thyrsus which was used to hunt elephants. Firearms began to be developed in Europe during the Middle Ages and during this time period there were many different types of firearms such as handguns, crossbows, shotguns, rifles and pistols. In 1837 Russia started producing their own guns which led to the development of modern firearm technology. During World War II various countries produced large quantities of firearms both domestically and abroad in order to support their war efforts. Throughout all these years firearms have remained an important part of human history and are still being used today around the world.
The modern-day firearm shirt is a result of the NRA's " Defensive Pistol League" program which offered free gun shirts to members who submitted photos of themselves shooting pistols. The program was designed to teach children how to shoot safely and protect themselves from crime. In 1984, the NRA created the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) to promote responsible firearms use by encourage individuals to patronize Gun Shows, attend safety conventions, and enjoy hunting and fishing opportunities while knowing their rights with respect to firearms. While some shootings have been reported at NSSF events, these are generally considered low-risk activities that don't pose a threat to public safety.
Fredericksburg is located in the U.S. state of Texas and is a city on the Edwards Plateau, west of Austin. It was founded in 1858 by William Fredericks, an American entrepreneur and politician who served as the 29th Governor of Texas from 1863 to 1865 and as a U.S. Representative from 1867 to 1871. The city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. The town began as a cattle ranching community named Rancho Atascosa, which was built around 1859 by Fredericks and his son John A. Fredericks II on land that now includes most of downtown Fredericksburg. The town rapidly grew due to its location near the Baylor University campus and its easy access to water resources – it became one of the largest cotton towns in Texas during the late 19th century. In 1870, John A. Fredericks III moved his family to what is now downtown Fredericksburg after inheriting Rancho Atascosa from his father; the family name for their new home remains unchanged to this day (the current Fredricksburg Museum also houses some evidence from this early period). In 1881, Edwin Mifflin donated land east of downtown for use as a public square; Mifflin had been interested in developing this area since he first visited it while traveling through Texas in 1872–73 following his publication of Uncle Tom's Cabin (1851). The square eventually became known as Mifflin Square after him and has been used intermittently since then but each time has attracted more attention than its predecessor because it features prominently within the commercial district surrounding it on three sides: Rusk Street NW, Cary Avenue NE, and Main Street SW (now Wilson Avenue NW). DowntownFredericksburg retains much of its original architecture with brick buildings dating back to before 1865 including two Masonic lodges dating back to 1792 (the Western Masonic Lodge #7 would be installed later that same year), two churches dating back to 1840 (Episcopal Church #1A-B & First Presbyterian Church #2) and several mercantile businesses such as Hartsfield-Jackson Bank & Trust Company which opened its doors on November 4, 1886 replacing what would become known locally as "The Gilded Cage". During World War II many homes were converted into military barracks or other wartime uses such as stores or movie theaters; however most have since been demolished or replaced by new structures over time including old Fourth Ward Baptist Church which still stands today across Rusk Street NW from where General Douglas MacArthur once preached services before departing for Japan during World War II when he was Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Forces Europe headquartered at Arlington National Cemetery nearby

It served as a base for operations during the Mexican-American War and was briefly occupied by Confederate forces in 1848 before being abandoned. The city was reestablished in 1870 after it was granted charter from the state of Texas. The city grew rapidly during the 20th century, becoming one of the largest Texan cities with over 100,000 residents by 1930. Fredericksburg experienced significant growth following World War II, when its economy shifted towards manufacturing and defense work. The city reached its peak population levels during the late 20th century, but has since declined due to suburbanization and economic decline. Today, Fredericksburg is a small town with around 1,000 residents that retains some cultural significance despite its lack of major industry or political power.
