When the town of Forney, Texas was founded in 1881, it was an agricultural community with a population of around 100. The town grew rapidly after being designated as the site of the new Fort Worth Mexican War Cemetery in 1887. In 1913, Forney became one of the first towns in Texas to have a city hall and police department. The city council also authorized the construction of a gun swivel system to allow officers to rotate between different positions while conducting their patrols. This system proved useful and eventually helped Toombs County become one of the most peaceful and crime-free areas in North Texas.

As a result of this expansion, many businesses moved out into adjoining rural areas while still keeping some business activity within Forney proper; this has resulted in an increased rate of crime outside the city limits compared to inside them In recent years there have been efforts by city officials to initiate gentrification initiatives which would see high-end residential development within City limits with less reliance on Interstate 10 for transportation

During World War II, many rifles were converted into service handguns such as the Beretta M9 pistol or Smith & Wesson Model 9 revolver using Heckler & Koch MP5 style pistols’ magazines that could hold up to 30 rounds instead of the traditional 7 rounds per magazine for most firearms. These conversions allowed shooters to fire multiple shots per minute with little effort than using single shot handguns like the Colt 1911 handgun or Ruger 10/22 rifle from earlier times.
