A second post office opened in 1915 and remained until 1922 when it closed due to lack of customers; for one year only priority mail was delivered through special wagons drawn by horses! In 1927 John Fenton purchased 5 acres (20,000 m²) adjacent to present day downtown for future development as Austin's first " municipally owned " greenway system; this land would later become Zilker Park! Today many local businesses are based downtown including Barnes & Noble bookstore chain and Dell computer company which moved their headquarters from Round Rock TX to downtown Forney in 2013!
