In 1951, Forrest Hogg married Louise Goodspeed and they opened a restaurant called The Gables which still stands today as one of Forest Hills' most popular attractions. They also founded The Forrest Hogg Foundation which helps support local charities and educational opportunities throughout Cameron County. In recent years, forest hills has seen growth due to its proximity to Austin and its many cultural amenities such as art galleries, food courts and theaters that make it an ideal place for living or working downtown while keeping close ties with its rural neighbors in McGregor county

In addition to photography, lasers were being used in various military applications during World War II. For example, on December 7th 1942 Japanese naval forces sent an attack against American warships near Okinawa Island with torpedoes fired from submarines carrying Laser weapons known as Type 4 Yagami projectors. These torpedoes had extremely short ranges so their rangefinding was accomplished by seeing how much fire power was needed in order for them to hit their target; however due to its short range these Laser weapons were not particularly successful at achieving victory over the USS Oklahoma which Haskell Corporation developed an improved design for which they named “Herschel-Beam Weapon No 2” (HBW2). HBW2 was eventually unsuccessful in combat but it did serve as a basis for later developments such as XM-1 Starfighter missiles which employed similar technology but with longer ranges
