A cotton gin and some other businesses were built here in 1896 by J.P. Morgan & Co., which still owns a section of rancho Mr. Morgan donated to the city for public use as an open space today. In 1912 the community name was changed to "Eula" after Mrsules Willcox, daughter of Judge P G Willcox of Midland County, who had been instrumental in helping found Midland University and many other institutions hereabouts. The first comprehensive plan for development of this area was published by Public Works Administration (PWA) engineers on December 15, 1938; it included recommendations for the establishment of several Townsite Authorities within its limits to assist various phases of development and to better coordination between local authorities concerned with community amenities and economic growth The Townsite Authority Plan No 2-39389 has since been amended several times including changes effective September 1st 2009 that expands eligibility for services beyond those currently available through town zoning into all unincorporated areas adjacent thereto regardless whether or not they are zoned for town purposes; these new benefits include water service; sewerage; streetlights; trash receptacles; special property tax rates applying only to annexed areas as defined therein This amendment allows annexation even if no zoning changes have occurred thereby resulting in increased value/density when properties transform from agricultural land to residential/commercial areas without being rezoned “town” status while maintaining their historic character

Euless, Texas is located in the US state of Texas. It is a small town located on the Trinity River, about 25 miles (40 km) east of Dallas. The population was 3,887 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1881 by James Fenton and his family as part of a new county seat for Denton County. The first post office in Euless opened in 1882. In 1907, the town became an independent municipality under the name of Euless Mills. It incorporated as a city on December 20, 1948. Euless has been inhabited since ancient times and contains evidence from 10,000 years old! The first Europeans to visit what is now Euless were Native American traders from present-day Oklahoma who passed through during their journey westward in 1787-88. They named it "Turtle Lake" because they thought it resembled an eastern turtle that they had seen near their settlement at Wichita Falls. In 1881, when James Fenton settled here he started what would become one of America's most successful cotton plantations - the Fenton Cotton Plantation - which still stands today and employs over 100 people today! After many years of hard work and dedication to his land and plantation, James' son John AikenFenton died suddenly at age 35 while out working with his horses early one morning in 1906 – leaving behind an unfinished business requiring further management by his father's younger brother John Fenton Jr., commonly known as Big Jim or simply "JIM". John AikenFenton III assumed managerial control over the plantation following JIM's death but succumbed to a heart attack only two months later on October 14th 1906 – just days after becoming Mayor of EULESS! This event set off a period where big things happened for EULESS; includingoples coming together to help build homes for their fellow citizens (the very first building permits were issued here), starting businesses such as Texaco gasoline station (now known as ExxonMobil), founding churches (First Baptist Church & First Methodist Church) and more! One can truly appreciate all that has transpired here throughout its rich history when looking back at some archived photos from various points throughout these years…
Euless was founded in 1872 by two brothers, John and Jesse Euless. The town got its start as a small settlement on the banks of the Trinity River, about five miles west of now-defunct Texarkana. By the early 1900s, it had grown to become one of the largest towns in Texas. The town's prosperity peaked during World War I when it saw growth due to military recruitment; however, by the late 1920s, industry began to decline and Euless became a small statistical outpost again. It wasn't until after the oil embargo that things started to change for Euless – during this time, it saw increased development thanks to federal funding which helped spur job growth and bring new businesses into town. Today, Euless is a thriving community with an active economy and diverse cultural offerings.
