Gun parts history in Duncanville, Texas can be traced back to the early 1800s. The town was founded by James Hogg and his family on a small farm in what is now Duncanville. Hogg named the town after his brother, John Duncan, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and also served as a captain of Company K, Seventh Texas Cavalry. The first gun parts that were sold here were rifles and pistols. In 1853, Captain A.J. Whitmore opened a store here that became known as the Western Armory. This store supplied guns to settlers all over Central Texas. In 1885, Captain Rufus Witherspoon opened another store here that became known as the Globe Store. At this time, gun parts were becoming increasingly important for cowboy enthusiasts because they could now purchase firearms with ease and not have to worry about running out of ammo or components necessary for their firearm. In 1907, John Jernigan purchased land in east Duncanville from Abram Carter and built what is today called the Jim Jernigan House on it. This house was one of the first buildings erected in town and it served as its local courthouse until 1912 when it was replaced by the present building which still stands today (pictured below). In 1911, Mrs. Lillie Reese donated land at 6th Street and Broadway to build a school district which would later become Rosemount Elementary School (pictured right). Despite its relatively small size compared to other American towns during this period (around 2 million inhabitants at this point),Duncanville experienced some significant growth over time including annexation by Austin in 1934 and then Allentown two years later. During World War II, both towns supported military efforts but only Duncannon contributed troops directly while Allentown produced munitions plants for National Guard units). After war ended there were modest increases in population until rapid declines beginning around 1970 due primarily to changing demographics within central Texas along with oil production which led to decreased jobs throughout much of Central America caused by automation of manufacturing processes

After the war ended in 1945, Duncanville resumed its decline until it reached its current low levels of population in the late 1990s.
