The name change took effect that year and has been kept ever since; however, some still refer to themselves as "Dumassians". The Towne House Museum is a museum located within the boundaries of Dumas High School which opened its doors on October 10th 2009 with funding from citizens through thepassage of Proposition 203 which provided $60K towards upgrades including making art galleries available for use by school children along with teacher training classrooms for kids who want to learn about art & history etc., additional classroom space will also be added soon for special events like concerts or festivals!
