Dumas is a small town in west Texas, located on the Brazos River. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Worth-Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Dumas was founded in 1881 by John Dummett and his brother Archibald as a farming community on the banks of the Brazos River. The post office in Dumas opened on November 7, 1881, and closed on October 27, 1960. The first mail carrier to arrive in Dumas was Wm. Huggins with his hearse from Fort Worth. In 1886, John Dummett donated land for a school and church in Dumas and $5,000 was raised to build them; however, they were not completed until 1889. In 1902, Pte Rufus Adams became the first African American to serve as a Sergeant in World War I when he enlisted with Company C 11th Texas Infantry Regiment (now First Battalion Dallas Police Department). He served until 1918 when he returned home to Dumas after being discharged from service at Camp Hitchcock Army Ammunition Plant near San Antonio. In 1916 Pte Alvin Jealous purchased 5 acres of land south of town for $2 per acre which later became known as "Jealous Park." After World War II ended there were no more black soldiers serving in the US military so this property reverted back to its original owners who named it "Adams Park". In 1980s white supremacists group NAMBLA made an attempt to start a KKK chapter here but it failed because local law enforcement did not believe that racism existed among non-white people living here. A pull-pull trigger has two parts: a firing pin that goes into an recess in the top of the hammer, and a cam that urges the striker arm into action. When you pull back on the gun's muzzle, this causes both parts of the trigger to move together (the firing pin moves up into its recess and then down), which starts to fire your ammunition. This type of trigger is typically used for handguns, shotguns, and other short-barreled rifles; it's not so common for rifle fires because it takes longer for yourtrigger to go off than with a standard push-pull trigger. The next type of trigger is called a magazine release button or magazine release plunger. It differs from most other triggers in that it doesn't have either a firing pin or cam inside it; instead, it has another part that goes into an opening at one end and pushes outwards when you release your grip on it (the plunger). This type of trigger is typically used for rifles where you need to remove rounds from their magazines quickly (e.g., in military service). Because this type oftrigger requires more effort to fire than conventional push-pull triggers do, shooters tend to prefer them over conventional ones in situations where they need to rapidly cock their firearm multiple times before shooting again

Dumas, Texas is located in the southern part of Texas. The area that includes Dumas was settled by Anglos in the 1830s. The first post office in Dumas was established on November 15, 1836. In 1870, the town became a Willacy County seat. In 1881, Dumas incorporated as a town and changed its name to Dallas. In 1916, Dallas City Council voted to change its name back to Dumas after Pierre-Emile Ducoudray, an officer with the French forces during World War I who had settled in Dallas and helped promote Anglo-American trade there. On July 10, 1920, Dallas City Council passed an ordinance setting up a city government with a mayor and five councilors. The city was formally organized on October 1 of that year under this new system. On December 1 of that year (also known as "National Independence Day"), fire destroyed most of downtown Dallas before being suppressed by firefighters; however, over $1 million worth of damage resulted from the fire which caused 25% unemployment among local businesses for six months following its occurrence.
