The Dumas Rifle and Pistol Club was formed on July 4, 1907, by a group of men who were interested in firearms. The club met at the home of J.F. Smith to discuss rifles and pistols. In 1911, the club sponsored its first gun show which attracted nearly 100 participants from Dumas and surrounding counties. In 1912, the club held its second gun show which attracted even more people from around the area. In 1916, the club sponsored its third annual gun show which drew over 200 exhibitors from all over Texas. In 1917, the club sponsored its fourth annual gun show which again drew over 200 exhibitors from all over Texas. In 1920, the clubsponsored its fifth annual gunshow which again drew over 200 exhibitors from all over Texas. From 1921 through 1927, theclubsponsored its sixth annual Gun Show each year; however, due to World War I restrictions on imported firearms, these shows were not held until 1929 when they were moved to Dallas-Fort Worth after being hosted by Austin’s The Rifle and Pistol Club there for several years (see: Austin Gun Show). From 1928 until 1935 inclusive (the last year for an Austin Gun Show), Dumas Rifle and Pistol Clubay participated in NRA sanctioned national championships where their rifles and pistols competed against other clubs throughout America (See: NRA National Shooting Championships). After that year’s championship event in Chicago it was decided that rifle/pistol matches would be televised so that shooters could compete internationally against one another with greater fairness than had been possible before. This TV exposure allowed clubs throughout America to participate equally in international tournaments with their own regional champions as well as learn new techniques while also seeing their old friends and foes come through town for a few days of competition shooting high quality guns! As time went on some members decided they did not want to shoot competitively anymore or preferred using their skills more casuallyolloing target practice or just hanging out at home playing poker night etc.; but most of those original founders remain active today either serving on committees or helping manage events or simply keeping things moving forward as it should be!

By loading your mag with extra rounds, you know that there won’t be any issues during future shoots. The disadvantage of using a large Magazine is that they can take up a lot of space in your gun bag or case. Some people find them difficult to store away after use so they must keep them somewhere close by at all times; however, larger magazines tend not to malfunction if dropped or mishandled like smaller ones do sometimes
In Texas, the first magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds was not until 1892 when a company called The Smith & Wesson Manufacturing Company introduced a model that had 11 rounds. It was not until 1913 when the Winchester Repeating Arms Company introduced their Model 1270 rifle with an increased magazine capacity of 15 rounds. In 1934, the National Firearms Act created the National Firearms Registry and regulated firearms in America. This act also established the definition for an " assault weapon" as any shotgun that has a magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds.
Dumas, Texas is a small town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,746 at the 2010 census. Dumas is located on the eastern edge of Hudspeth County and is north-northwest of Austin. It has a ZIP code of 78636. The community was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1875 as a small station on the Butterfield Overland Mail route between Austin and Fort Worth. The train stopped at Dumas every day for passengers and goods to be unloaded before continuing onward to Dallas or Fort Worth. After several years of operation, the depot closed in 1879 and the community developed slowly until it reached its current size in the early 1920s when an irrigation ditch was constructed through agricultural land near Dumas which made possible larger dwellings and more commercial activity. During World War II, Dumas was home to two U.S military airfields: Offutt Air Force Base (later Offutt Air National Guard Base) and Hill AFB (later Hill Air Force Base). Most notable are Offutt's 1st Bombardment Wing which flew strategic bombardment missions over Japan during World War II; "the red team" which bombed Hiroshima; as well as Ulysses S.
