Donna, Texas is a small town located in Kenedy County, Texas. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and has a population of just over 20,000 residents. The area that includes Donna was once home to several small villages and towns that grew together over time. These communities included Banning, Deer Park, Garden Grove, Georgetown Heights, Houston Heights and more. Most of these villages came to an end when construction began on the New Mexico Railway in the early 1800s. The railway replaced many of the old roads and trails that led to them. As a result, most of these settlements were gone by the time guns started being introduced into this area. The first firearms were probably brought into this area when Spanish colonists arrived in this region in the 16th century. These settlers likely acquired some firearms from Native Americans who had already been living here for some time. Eventually, handguns became widely used in warfare throughout much of North America due to their ability to shoot very high speed projectiles with great accuracy. This proved particularly useful against enemy forces who could not approach close range without being shot at first! Eventually, Donna became one of many small towns within Kenedy County that experienced rapid growth during the late 19th century thanks largely to its location within easy access to railroad lines and other transportation arteries! Donna, Texas is home to the oldest handgun factory in the United States and a firearm hat history that goes back to 1892. The facility was founded by John D. Rockefeller as the Western Gun Works, making handguns for ranch hands and other law enforcement officials in southern Texas. In 1934, Western Gun Works merged with Austin-based Smith & Wesson to become S&WHouston. In 1949, Houston amalgamated with its neighbor Dallas to create Dallas-Fort Worth Firearms Corporation (DFTC), which continued making handguns until it was purchased by Colt International in 1969. The Colt plant closed in 1987, leaving Donna without a gun manufacturing facility but with a rich firearms history thanks to its role as the birthplace of the 1911 handgun and early semiautomatic pistols such as the Model 10/22 rifle.
Donna, Texas is a small town located in Hudspeth County, Texas. The population was 1,549 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. Donna is probably best known for its three main shopping malls: the Donna Mills mall (opened in 1986), the Addison Creek Mall (opened in 1992), and the Midtown Crossing mall (opened in 1996). The town started as a farming community that grew up around an old sawmill on the banks of Clear Fork River. In 1881, homesteaders moved into what would eventually become Donna and began to cultivate land. By 1900, they had built a small school and two stores. In 1906, they voted to incorporate as a town. That year, they also added a post office and two churches to their mix. In 1916, soybean farmer Jens Christensen donated about 10 acres of land to the town for development purposes including what would later be called Donnas Millrace Park. The park served as a recreation center for local children until it was closed by federal officials in 1968 because of overgrazing by cattle owners on private property adjacent to it. Today nearly all of Donnas Millrace Park remains unoccupied; only some remnant trees still stand from when it was part of the parkway system connecting downtown Austin with rural areas near Donna. Ike O’Donnell who represented Hudspeth County on the Board of Education from 1961-1966 became one of Donnas most famous citizens after serving as mayor pro tempore from 1966-1968 during then governor John Connallys first term in office - an important role given that he had no government experience whatsoever prior to his service onthe board! Ike also founded "The Daily Texan" newspaper which continued publication until 1994 when it merged into "KXAN". Heynon High School won numerous state championships during his time as principal including back-to-back state championships in wrestling (1976 & 1977) and soccer (1982 & 1983). When HeynonDistrict 4A closed down due to budget cuts during Connallys second term he successfully sued Governor Connally seeking financial compensation from him personally! Donna has seen some tough times since then with high school students having difficulty getting good jobs outside their homes or finding affordable housing options due to population growth within their own borders following engine plant closings across centralTexas over recent decades However through hard work by many individuals/groups along with support from our elected officials things are starting to change again

Donna, Texas is a small town in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,854 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Donna was founded in 1879 by Donnie Prescott and his family. In 1907, the town incorporated as a city. The population increased to 3,089 at the 2010 census; however it has since decreased to 1,854 due to migration from the city and other suburban areas within the past decade or so. The name "Donna" comes from Spanish meaning "place of milk" because most early settlers were dairy farmers who came from nearby Tomball and San Antonio. A post office called Donna was established in 1881 and remained in operation until 1906. The first mayor of Donna was Gertrude Hargrave Cooksey; she served for three terms from 1907-1910 before being replaced by Wm Crain Jr.. In 1907, Donna became part of what would become known as Round Rock (the current site). At that time it consisted only of two hamlets: Donny's Corners and Elmwood. On July 15th 1908 Donnachaiee Fenton married John Ewing (1860-1934), son of Capt James Ewing (1792-1865) on Presbyterian Church property northeast of town near stagecoach stop #7 along Old US 71/US 281 north of today's intersection with IH 35W just east of FM 1202 & FM 903

Donna was founded by American pioneers in 1876 as a small farmstead on the banks of the Trinity River. The first post office was established in Donna in 1877 and remained open until 1915. In 1922, the town became an incorporated municipality with a population of 2,000. The current mayor is Darrell Scott and the Town Council has six members who are elected at-large.
