Donna, Texas is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Donna is located on U.S. Route 281 and has a large shopping center at its core which includes Garden City Mall and an IMAX movie theater. Donna also has one high school, Donnelly High School, and two middle schools - Donley Jr./Sr., and West Side Middle School. There are also several local businesses including Cabela's and Sears as well as two grocery stores - Kroger and Safeway - that anchor the downtown core of the town. Bullets were first used in warfare by the Texan American Revolutionaries in 1779 during their battle against Spanish colonial forces at San Jacinto College near El Paso, Texas. The first shot from a cannon was fired at Mexican troops retreating through a creek bed on July 6th 1836 during the Battle of Pecos Prairie under General Sam Houston who led an army numbering 25 thousand against Mexico’s Army of Mexico numbering around 30 thousand with artillery support totaling 350 cannons across three lines abreast with 1/2 mile interval between each battery when ordered to open fire by General Houston while riding his horse over cover! A postscript to this 5 year long conflict began on October 8th 1846 when Santa Anna’s forces attacked Houston’s entrenched army near Clear Lake Bridge – resulted in more than 120 killed or wounded with most carnage taking place along Rodeo Road where many horses were killed outright before being carried off into eternity leaving their riders stranded for hours or days until finally found dead some distance away – further evidence that bullets had become America’s standard infantry arm!

Donna is named after Donny and Marie O'Neill, who founded the first post office in the community in 1887. Donna experienced some growth during World War II as many men moved to serve in the military or took jobs in nearby Amarillo. In recent years, however, Donna has seen its population decline due to a variety of factors including economic hard times and declining birth rates. The history of Donna begins with two families who set out from their farmstead on October 10th 1887 to establish a post office in what was then an unbroken prairie landmass. They were joined by others soon thereafter and by 1915 there were twelve businesses functioning within one mile of each other serving a general population that numbered only around 100 people when World War I began. With increased travel for workers and students during that time period it seems likely that this number would have been even lower if not for the influx of soldiers returning home on leave or those moving away because of technology advancements such as automobiles and radios which made life easier for everyone involved. During World War II much activity took place within walking distance of either side of town thanks to both local condemnation exemptions given by General George Custer’s last stand victory at Little Bighorn National Monument west of town (and continuing into present day) as well as military suppliers located just outside town limits providing vast amounts foodstuffs needed by troops stationed all over central America with little regard to where they might be found relative to civilians living near them; areas like Amarillo now include concentrations Kissimmee Valley USAF airfields while still remaining mainly agricultural communities ie: Donny today! Donna lost most residents during the 1990s recession but has since seen some new development withCREATE Homes LLCNow ranches housing homes built especially for oil extraction/pumping Servicing wells adjacent thereto along Highway 7 just east of town center currently under construction - another example how things can change rapidly these days!

Donna is one of the few towns in Reeves County that has not been completely destroyed by the 2008 floods. Despite this, some damage has been done to the town such as high water damage to homes and businesses. Donna's history dates back to 1845 when it was named "Mandaqua" after the Mandaqui River which flows through central Texas. The first residents of Donna were farmers who grew corn and beans. In 1867, a post office called "Mandaqua" was established in what is now Donna. In 1922, a school district called "Lubbock Independent School District No. 1" was created in Donna; this district later became part of the newtxschool system known asTxUSD (Texas Education Agency). Prior to TXUSD taking over control of Donna's schools in 2003, all districts within Reeves County were part of Lubbock Independent School District No 12 (now Lubbock Consolidated School District). In 2003, TXUSD merged with DPS (Dallas-Fort Worth Public Schools) to form TxDPS (Texas Education Agency). In 2007, Donna voters passed an ordinance prohibiting discrimination against gays and lesbians on account of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This ordinance became effective on January 1st 2009 and remains in effect today.
