Additionally, there have been several major renovations done to local businesses throughout this time – such as renovation of local schools which saw an increase in enrollment throughout 2006; construction of new buildings within the municipal limits which included both retail space as well as office space; and addition of more than one thousand parking spaces within downtown areas which helps support economic development within the community. Dickinson also sees occasional tourist influxes from other parts of Texas during summertime when school districts are closed for vacation or when large events are taking place across Fort Worth or Dallas County outside of town Limits (i.e., county fairs). These visits often result either in business opportunities for locals or tourism dollars that help support continued economic growth for our community
