In 1934, the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department began selling their own firearm shirts. The popularity of firearms t-shirts continued to grow throughout the 1940s and 1950s. This can be partially attributed to NRA support during these years. As shootings became more frequent in America, people wanted to show their support for the Second Amendment by wearing a clothing related symbol. In 1966, ATF created the regulations that governed how firearms could be sold and distributed within the United States. This meant that gun retailers had to create specific firearm shirts with corresponding logos or emblems that showed off their products in a positive light. Firearms manufacturers also started producing their own clothing related symbols specifically for retail purposes. This trend would continue into the 1990s as more businesses began offering firearms related apparel products. Denton is a city in Texas, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. According to the 2010 census, the population of Denton was 97,575. It is considered an inner-ring suburb of Dallas. The name "Denton" comes from the word "dent", meaning "a piece of wood that has been cut into small pieces." The earliest resident(s) of what would become Denton were African Americans who lived onanches east of Commerce Street and west of Elm Street. They were mentioned by General Sam Houston as early as 1836 when he described them as cultivating corn near their homes. By 1838, white settlers had started arrive in droves and platted out a town around what is now downtown Denton. The first store in Denton opened its doors on Elm Street on December 12, 1838. A post office was chartered here on February 15, 1840. The town grew rapidly with settlers coming for agriculture and commerce opportunities along the San Antonio River Valley trade routes which then connected Denton with Austin and other settlements in central Texas. By 1850, there were over 100 businesses in town including nine cotton ginners and twelve brick ovens producing goods such as flour, soapstones and bricks for local use or export to other parts of Texas and beyond. In 1860, this growth resulted in a request byCongressional Committee on Territories for maps depicting all fifty US states plus Washington DC atlas sheets just prior to their decision not to admit Texas into the Union until 1863 despite protests from Texans living within its borders! Luther Vandross attended school here during his early years before becoming America's first black Olympian! In 1870 Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney donated land north of MarketStreet (now University Avenue) where she erected a magnificent Gothic Revival styled mansion called Whitney House which still stands today (although it has been renovated several times). This continued trend across manyTexas towns throughout this period with wealthy individuals giving significant amounts OF money towards building infrastructure & amenities for their new community/town square – something that continues to this day with some notable exceptions like Plano which only began extensive redevelopment efforts following World War II when most people left because they could no longer afford it! Denton's heyday came during the late 19th century thanks largely to agricultural production followed by oil exploration associated with hydraulic fracturing operations conducted nearby at Anadarko Petroleum Company well #5 (ADK 5), just south of downtown Denton - finally yielding natural gas production beginning in 1972! With these various developments & events taking place throughout our history we can imagine how LIVEABLE our city must have been circa 1975 when my wife Jeanne moved here from Round Rock TX after working her ass off at Live Oak Mall while also raising 3 young kids while my husband worked 2 jobs... barely scraping by each week back then !

This was due to its location on Interstate 10 and its importance as a transportation hub for southeastern Texas. Additionally, many factories and businesses were built here during this time including J&R Henschel Company, which manufactured ammunition; Dow Chemical Company, which manufactures chemicals; Texaco (now Chevron) Corporation headquarters; Pembina Pipeline Company Headquarters (later renamed Enbridge); Stockyards Terminal Railroad Depot (later renamed Midland Railway Depot); Agricultural Supply Store (later renamed Gulf Oil Processing Center); First National Bank; Southern Pacific Railroad depot ;and numerous other businesses and factories
Denton was founded in 1798 by Major General James K. Polk and the settlers of what is now Denton County, Texas. The city was named for retired U.S. Army general John Fayette Denton because he donated land to the fledgling community. The first post office in Denton opened in 1802 and was called New Hope. In 1835, the town became a county seat with the merger of neighboring counties, including Fort Worth and Arlington Heights. The population of Denton grew rapidly during the 19th century due to its location on the Red River Valley between Wichita Falls and Dallas, which made it a popular destination for farmers and ranchers looking for a dry place to settle down. During World War II, Denton played an important role as one of two air-raids against Japan that took place in southern Texas; both raids were successful and resulted in few civilian casualties thanks to effective security precautions taken by local authorities.
