In 1927, the Texas Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in Denison by areashooters. In 1934, the club moved to its present location at 7277 W. Military Rd. The club has been hosting annual rifle and pistol matches since 1937. The first match was held on October 15th of that year with a total of 20 shooters. The first pistols match was held on November 6th of that year with a total of 5 shooters.
Denison, Texas is a town in Cameron County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. Denison was founded by cattlemen in 1879 and named for James Denison, an American army officer who served as a scout and guide during the Mexican-American War. The first post office in Denison was established on July 6, 1879, with Wm. B. Hanks as its first clerk. The present Post Office building was built in 1907 and replaced a previous structure that had been destroyed by fire in 1906. The original building housed the mercantile section of the town's first store which opened on December 12th of that year. The 2nd store located at 9 S Main Street opened on January 1st 1880 and became known as the "Old Store" because it still stands to this day! In 1893, Charles Fenton started what would become one of Denison's most successful businesses - A&W Root Beer Company - which has sold beer to residents from its original location just east of the town limits until today! Fenton also operated one of Denison's only grocery stores from his business premises until his death in 1979! In 1929 Johnnie Epps began selling ice cream from his home stand - now known as Johnnie's Ice Cream Parlor! In 1954 local resident Jack McConnell organized and led a drive to collect donations for needy children across America throughOperation Christmas Child! This effort remains one of history's largest coordinated drives ever conducted!. In 1978 local resident Don Hendricks organized and led a drive to collect donations for needy children across America throughOperation Easter Bunny!.Donations collected via these two campaigns totaled more than $100K which were used to support many less fortunate families throughout America!! In 1984 local resident Lamar Walters formed Gulftex Corporation which began manufacturing air conditioners here in Denison (Gulftex continues operations today) !!!!! Of course all good things come to an end... but never fear.......Denisons finest citizens have already begun planning our next big event...... denISON'S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY!!!!!

This type of holder features two short bars that fit into each other above and below the crossbar. This allows you to rotate your target without having it move around on its stand-alone stand! 3) Finally, there is the “Pistol grip” style Shooting Target Holder which was created in response to complaints about arms getting stuck in traditional crossbar style holders when taking aim during practice sessions! This gripstyle allows you more control over your aim as well as preventing your arms from getting stuck in between the bars!

Denison, Texas was founded in 1836 by James H. Denison and his wife Elizabeth. It is the most recent of the original Thirteen Towns that formed Austin, Texas. The town served as the center of trade and culture for early Texans. The town grew rapidly due to its location at the crossroads of several wagon trails and its access to natural resources such as oil rigs and hunting grounds. In 1847, Denison was renamed Fort Worth after General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna's victory over Mexican forces at San Jacinto. At first, Denison struggled to keep up with Austin's rapid growth. However, through hard work and determined leadership, Denison quickly became one of South Texas' leading towns. With a population of only 1,000 people in 1850, Denison had achieved widespread notoriety as the "Town on the Prairie". By 1860, however, Denionians had overcome their initial challenges and reached a peak population of 10,000 residents. This success led to tensions between denizens and newcomers; however, fiery debate always characterized life in Denison until its final days. Denison experienced some major setbacks during the Civil War; however, it managed to remain an important military outpost until 1865 when it finally fell victim to Union troops under General Robert E Lee. After Confederate forces surrendered at Appomattox Court House in 1865, all but two buildings in downtown were destroyed by firestorming souvenirs from Union soldiers stationed there! Today little remains except for a few scattered artifacts from earlyDenISONian times including coffee pots made out of recycled milk cans
