In 1948-1949 these relocated Japanese Americans formed organized resistance groups known as The Hiddenijis which successfully fought against what they saw as unlawful incarceration without trial or fair process that led to their displacement from their homes in southcentral Texas[2][3]. On February 17th 1945 two B-29 bombers flying over Kelly Field dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima City Hitachi Electric Company's main factory killing about 60 people including CEO Kazuo Moriuchi[4],[5]. This event increased public awareness about Japan’s use of nuclear technology which would soon be employed in other countries such as America[6]. After hearing about Hiroshima City’s devastation following the bombing Ie Shima family decided they could not live with restrictions placed on them just beyond their property line so they moved back into their home they had built while living under surveillance from local police department.[7] From this experience many families chose resettlement rather than fight for legal rights granted through government policy towards them during World War II[8].
