This merger led to the creation of Winchester Ammunition Corporation. The corporation produced a wide range of ammunition products including rifles, shotguns and pistols. In 1907, Winchester Ammunition Corporation merged with Remington Arms Company to form Remington-Winchester Firearms Corporation. This left Copperas Cove Ammo as one of the largest ammo companies in the United States. Today, Copperas Cove Ammo is still a major player in the firearms industry and produces some of the most advanced ammunition on the market today.

Copperas Cove, Texas is a small town in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 599 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. Copperas Cove is located on the eastern edge of Hidalgo County and borders Austin to the north and east, San Antonio to the south, and Kendallville to the west. The first permanent settler in Copperas Cove was John Witherspoon who arrived in 1848. He named his new land "Cupertino" after his company's copper mine in Peru, South America. Witherspoon had been brought up on a farm near Wichita Falls in southeastern Kansas where he learned how to farm and mine coal and silver. In 1857 Witherspoon sold his property to Jno Pemberton who founded what would become Pemberton Oil Company with $10,000 from speculators Nicholas Carbonaro and James Fenton. Pemberton leased 1/3 of a million acres (500 km²) from Abraham Lincoln for $5 an acre ($2/acre at current market prices). One hundred men were drafted for three years service under President Ulysses S. Grant during World War I but never served because they could not afford enlistment fees In 1915 Ernest Swenarton purchased 6% of Pemberton Petroleum Corporation which became ExxonMobil In 1924 Mrs Alice Kapp began marketing apple cider vinegar by shipping barrels filled with fresh apples downriver from her orchard near Cupertino until she could find a larger containerized distributor In 1970s Alice Kapp's business passed through her daughter Linda who continued marketing apple cider vinegar under her mother's name until 2003 when it was acquired by Long Island ice cream maker Churn & churn LLC This acquisition made Copperas Cove one of Long Island's top tourist destinations
