Converse is a town in Kleberg County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,828 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Amarillo, TX-OK Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Converse post office was established on November 8, 1879. It received its statehood on December 10, 1907. The town name comes from pioneer James (Jim) Converse and his brother John Converse who donated land to the town for development. It originally consisted of only a few homes and a small store. In 1925 the first school opened in Converse with 54 students gradeschool through 8th grade. In 1928 the first high school opened in Converse with 10th through 12th grades as well as vocational training programs for local businesses and farmers. In 1930 the first professional basketball game was played in Converse between Amarillo High School’s Bullets and Kleberg County Junior College's Cowboys . In 1941 when World War II began there were more than 100 residents living in Converse including many veteran soldiers from nearby Fort Worth and Ennis . After World War II there were less people living in Converse but it has continued to grow with many new retirements since then . In 1954 construction started on what would become known as “The Hill” which would house most of the community's growth until it burned down in 2006 . Today much of what once stood around “The Hill” has been replaced by new housing developments while portions have been preserved as open space or are still used for agricultural purposes such as bird observation areas or farm tours
Ar15 receivers have been around for quite some time now. Whether it be from the original Colt AR-15, to the more recent designs from Arms American, they have all had their share of success and failure. What makes an ar15 receiver different than any other rifle is its design. A receiver is made up of several parts: the chamber, the barrel, and the bolt carrier group (BCG). The BCG is what holds the rounds in the chamber and fires them off when you pull the trigger. This part can also take a beating over time, so it’s important that it function properly. The first rifles made with ar15 receivers were built in 1968 by Colt. These rifles were called “Colt Commander” receivers. They were designed to be lightweight and easy to operate, thanks to theirinline gas system and recessed magazine well. It wasn’t until 1971 that Colt began building rifles with milled-in rifled barrels in order to improve accuracy and performance over traditional plastic barrels. All through these years there have been various changes made to how ar15 receivers are built and operated. However, one constant has been their use of a Picatinny rail on top of which users can attach optics or other accessories such as flashlights or lasers. This rail allows for quick access to various functions without having to remove the entire rifle from use!

In 1901, Converse, Texas was founded by T.J. Converse and his wife Fannie. The town was named after TJ's father, who had come to the area in 1881. In 1923, the first post office in Converse opened. By 1930, the population of Converse had reached 1,500 residents. However, with World War II raging and the economy fluctuating around the turn of the century, the population began to dwindle and by 1960 there were only 60 residents living in Converse. However, like many other small towns throughout America during this time period it didn't stay that way for long as various factors led to its decline over time: The opening of Interstate 20 in 1951; oil exploration and production in nearby Denison beginning in 1964; a decrease in farming activity which resulted from technological advancements such as tractors or soybeans becoming available on a larger scale; a decrease in manufacturing jobs due to competition from foreign companies; and finally an increase in crime that led to a drop-off in citizens' support for their community institutions (such as fire departments). Ultimately though these forces have all contributed significantly to final closure of Converse's government buildings (most notably its school), loss of jobs/population center status and eventual abandonment of what once was one of American history's most vibrant small towns.

The commission's mission was to ensure that the state's railroads were fair and reasonable partners in providing transportation for Texans. In 1937, Converse became the first town in Texas to welcome a nuclear plant. In 1961, Converse also became the birthplace of The Beatles.
