The town of Colleyville, Texas is located in Midland County, just east of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The population was 28,747 at the 2010 census. It's one of five towns in Midland County and is part of the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. Colleyville is named after General James A. Colley, who fought in the Mexican-American War and was a general during World War I. The town began as a small settlement on the banks of Buffalo Bayou, near present day Colleyville High School. In 1881, a farming community developed along Buffalo Bayou and soon became known as "The Cotton Capital of Texas". In 1907, business interests led to the establishment of the first school district in Midland County with Colleyville as its headquarters. By 1920, there were four high schools and six vocational schools within the new district. The early years of FM 1457 were difficult for Colleyville residents due to political incorrectness on the part of then-Governor James Whitehill. One reason for this may have been that FM 1457 ran through Indian Territory which at that time was still under US control following acquisition by Mexico in 1848. As per US law at that time all lands east of San Antonio were considered Indian Territory and therefore could not be sold or leased without approval from Washington D.C..

It consisted of two metal plates that extended from each side of your body and connected using hinges. The idea behind this design was to make it possible for people to use bipeds as battlefield units by allowing them to stay stable during fights without relying on other devices such as feet or hands. This design quickly became popular and helped pave the way for modern military technology. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, new technologies started emerging that made it possible for people to use multipurpose devices while standing up unsupported (known as mobile suit infantry). This change allowed people who lacked prior experience with using monopods or tripod devices on their feet (known as “tower walkers”) to become skilled warriors on par with professional soldiers. As these technologies evolved, so too did how people used monopod-based troops on battlefields worldwide. By 1990, however, all efforts had failed in making significant advances in multipurpose mobile suits over traditional soldiers using monopodes alone. This failure led DARPAto developa new concept called “bipedal” mobile suits which featured both legs functioning together as one unit (known later as “bipedal mode”). This innovative design revolutionized warfare by allowing commanders more control over where their troops stood on the battlefield - perfect for fighting in crowded areas or when multiple targets are located close together

Today, Colleyville is a small, unincorporated community in Potter County, Texas. It was founded by George A. Colley in 1873. The community grew rapidly after the railroad came through in 1887 and built a depot here. In 1925, the town was named for Brigadier General John D. Colley, who had died two years earlier in a riding accident near Fort Worth. The general's estate was later donated to the town and it has maintained that name to this day. The first residents of Colleyville were farmers and their families who arrived from adjacent counties during the early 1870s. By 1890, however, most of the population had moved away because of lack of available land or discovery of oil resources around Colleyville proper. The only structure remaining from those early days is an old store on Main Street which still stands as a local landmark today. While many small towns throughout Texas developed over time due to changes in farming methods or increased trade with other parts of the country, little changed aboutColleyville until circa 1925 when it became one of several towns located within Potter County impacted by the construction of Interstate 35W. At that time, Oklahoma statehood brought about significant changes to local life - specifically with regard to transportation and economic development opportunities within Potter County itself as well as neighboring counties (Oklahoma included). With I-35W coming through town soon after its completion some people decided thatColleyville would be best served by having its own post office which would serve as an interchange for all manner of mail arriving from all over Oklahoma City as well as Tulsa and other nearby communities (purchased by Potter County from Wichita State University). As time went on there were also plans made to build a shopping mall here but these never materialized; instead much traffic passed through Main Street today simply because it is one stop on what used to be an eight-lane highway serving both downtown OKC and McAlester AFB before becoming I-635 following I-35W's relocation southwards across Arkansas River towards Lawton - making this certainly not your average "smalltown USA" situation!
The Colleyville town site was first settled in 1871. The community name is derived from a family of pioneer ranchers, the Collingsworths. The post office was founded in 1875 and named after George A. Colley, a Territorial Governor of Texas who served between 1876 and 1880.
