In 1907, the club changed its name to the Cleburne County Rifle and Pistol Club. The club started using rifles for target practice in 1912. In 1916, the club changed its name to the Cleburne County Shotgun Association. In 1923, the association changed its name to the Cleburne County Rifle and Pistol Club again.
