Grant gave land to Otto von Bismarck for his estate called Tejanco Hill Gardens on what is now South Padre Island National Seashore Boulevard just north of downtown Cibolo. Von Bismarck had purchased 640 acres (250 hectares) of land east of Mission Bayou along I-635 south of US 290 between San Antonio and Brownsville that would eventually become part of Cibololoco
