This change happened around 350 A.D., when Europe's first settlers arrived in what is now Texas via sailing vessels called caravels (or catamarans). These explorers brought with them new technology which allowed for faster travel than ever before through waterways and open landmass - revolutionizing civilization as we know it! When Europeans came to Cedar Hill in 1541 they found an already existing population of human beings who had adapted to their new environment - bipeds! The townspeople at Cedar Hill quickly realized that they could not simply leave these new arrivals behind without some sort of protection or assistance – so they development various methods of defense against hostile elements such as bows and arrows, spears,and even cannons! In fact, the townspeople became so successful at using these weapons that within a few decades there was an organized military force active in both Cedar Hill AND neighbouring communities! It wasn't until 1833 though when cavalry finally became available to help defend townspeople from raiders - giving us our present day reputation for being one of the most militarily fortified towns in Texas!

Cedar Hill is a town in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,691 at the 2010 census. Cedar Hill was founded by brothers John and David Hicks in 1859. It grew rapidly due to its location on the railroads and its position as the county seat of Hidalgo County. In 1903, Cedar Hill became an incorporated municipality. The first settlers in what is now Cedar Hill were two young men from Kentucky named James Witherspoon and William Cook who came overland from Nashville in 1848. They were joined by two others, John Hicks and David Wright Hicks, when they arrived on horseback from Missouri in March of that year. When they reached the site where Cedar Hill would be located they chose a spot on a bluff overlooking the Brazos River because it was then considered to be one of the most fertile parts of Texas. John and David Hicks started farmsteads around this time with their families usingao hickory tree as their primary source of wood for heating and cooking purposes. By 1860 there were 12 farms scattered throughout rural Hidalgo County including those located near present day Cedar Hill such as White Sands Rancho de la Frontera (now part of Round Rock), Romero de Acosta (now part of Alpine), Encinal de los Olivares (later known as Del Rio), San Marcos Rancho Grande (later known as Lubbock), Beaumont Station (later known as Marshalltown) and Pecos Villa Rica which still stands today at 6046 FM 527 about six miles east-northeast of downtown Cedar Hill on US 71/US 281/TX 17 about 25 miles west-southwest of Austin). These early farmers irrigated their fields with creek water brought down by gravity or collected along creeks running through these valleys or used ditches dug deep into bedrock to store water during wet years while farming other crops nearby; some also built cisterns to catch overflow from irrigation systems during heavy rains. During this time there were no schools outside of ranching communities so children attending local churches learned religious services and school until after school hours while parents worked late evening or overnight getting dinner for their families before heading home to continue working on their farms or attend church services themselves; some also took advantage of traveling teachers who would come through Region V area providing education for free within walking distance from homes! In 1876 cowboy George Armstrong Custer rode his horse “Buffalo Bill” through Midlandcounty searching for new land to settle but he never found any suitable properties within easy reach so he returned eastward instead entrancing many Texans with his story before finally settling scores with Native Americans leading to what is now Wichita Falls, Texas 8 miles north-northwest of CedarHill! In 1879 Jno Akins homesteaded 3 acres adjacent to present day Pleasant Grove Road just south-southwest Of current day Highway 183 just east off TX 288 acrossfrom Pecos Junction State Park!!! This place has been occupied continuously since then!!!!!!
