Burleson is a small town located in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Burleson is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The first white settlers in what is now Burleson arrived in 1836 and founded a ranch named Prairie View. In 1838, John Witherspoon purchased the land from the original owners and changed the name to Burleson after his hometown of Burlington, Vermont. The town was laid out in 1845 by Colonel James Hogg and named for General Antonio Luna burlesquing at his old home on Main Street (now US 290). A post office was established at Burleson in 1850 and remained operational until it closed in 1912. In 1896,burleoning began on FM 2287 east of town which became the first commercial drive into downtown Dallas. By 1902 there were four businesses operating within one mile of each other with over $1 million worth of business transacted annually through downtown streets alone! In 1928 Burleson's school district was formed and enrollment increased to 467 pupils from 133 students when Fenton Elementary School opened its doors (now Pearce Middle School). Today, our beautiful high school offers classes from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as several vocational programs that prepare students for careers such as engineering or carpentry! Workers' compensation became an option for locals soon after it was mandated by state legislators during World War I; however no insurance company offered coverage so individuals had to purchase their own policies from various sources or risk being sued if they fell sick while working on their property! However following economic downturns throughout the 1990s many local businesses decided to give workers' comp a try – results have been mixed but generally positive! Prior to WWII most people worked outside their homes raising livestock or haying hay; however starting around WW II things changed along with new technology that made farming more efficient!! Instances where animals died due to lack of feed or cold weather led farmers to start using tractor agriculture which revolutionized food production!!! With all this technological advancements came easier marketing opportunities which resulted in larger profits for those who could afford it…..and that’s really how origins story goes right?

Burleson is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,187 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Amarillo–New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Burleson post office was established on July 1, 1881, by Wm. H. Cobb with a mail route from Amarillo to Fort Worth. The name "Burleson" was derived from Spanish burro which means "stallion." A post office called New Braunfels was established in 1883 and served as the eastern terminus of the original mail line between Amarillo and Fort Worth. The town was founded on a ranch that belonged to John Cramer and his wife AnnaMarie Cramer. AnnaMarie had been born in Missouri in 1825 and came to Texas with her family when she was six years old; they settled near present-day Burleson in 1838. John Cramer diedometime after 1880 and AnnaMarie continued to operate the ranch until her death in 1907. In 1916, other ranchers organized a group to purchase all of AnnaMarie's remaining land within the city boundaries of Amarillo for $225 million (equivalent to $). This grant providedfor new construction of civic buildings such as a library and high school while also providing open space for farming and grazing livestock on what would become one of the most important ranches in Amarillo history. In 1923, Burleson became an incorporated municipality under its own government with a mayor-council form of government similar to that used today by cities throughout America. In 1951, Brazoria County merged into Midland County; therefore, much of what is now Burleson fell within Midland County limits until annexation by Amarillo later that year; however, most aspects of burlington history remain within Midland County borders today including downtown streets named for local personalities like Judge Roy Bean who represented Midland County before the U S Supreme Court during World War II; Revolver Joe Shaver who ran for Texas Governor three times between 1964-1968 & 1974-1976 & current Mayor Laddie Pohlman
