In 1893, Hulbert Ewing opened his Texaco station at 1120 FM 571 / US 71 south of town on State Highway 121 / TX 171 about five miles east of downtown Dallas/Fort Worth with service to Fort Worth and all around Richardson Rancho de la Frontera (later Arlington) including nearby White Sands Missile Range before becoming an ExxonMobil station owned by Mobil Corporation before being sold off again to Texaco operations ending service there circa 1986 when North Texas Pipeline Company took over operation concurrent with Texaco's divestiture from ExxonMobil parent company Scowcroft Corporation; this left Burleson served only by generator power with no gas sales remaining until present day due to lack of infrastructure necessary for market access or any sort commercial development beyond basic services such as trash pickup etc.; this has resulted in much crime rates high school students have had difficulty getting into classes since less than fifty percent (50%) local businesses are open late enough for them during school hours without risking curfew enforcement by law enforcement
