However, thanks to years of hard work by residents numerous businesses have reopened throughout the past few years including several restaurants (including McCall's BBQ), a fitness center/spa complex called Healthplex II & III (which has been featured on TV shows like Shape Up! and Strictly Come Dancing), two banks (First National Bank & Texaco) as well as dozens of other small businesses that are essential to keeping things moving along in what has been once another struggling town within TX - but now boasts some nice amenities such as A Better Life Wellness Center & Spa - one of only three locations statewide that offers such comprehensive services!

This made Burleson one of the most important cotton towns in Texas during that time period because it supplied many textile mills with cottonseed oil and raw material for their products
