Browse By Category

Ar15 upper receivers have been in existence since the early 1990s. The rifle was designed as a personal defense weapon and has seen limited use in the military due to its weight and design. However, that may soon change with the release of new models that are more concealable and efficient. Bryan, Texas is home to one of the largest Ar15 lower receiver plants in the country. This facility produces lower receivers for both civilian and military customers. Lower receivers are an important part of any AR-15 system and play a significant role in reducing noise levels while shooting, hunting or competition shooting. The history of Ar15 rifles goes back to 1992 when a team of engineers working at Colt Firearms Manufacturing Corporation came up with the idea for a lightweight assault rifle using an American made upper receiver. The idea was born out of necessity; at that time, handguns were becoming more popular than assault rifles which hindered their ability to be mass produced quickly. The ar15 upper receiver project began as a means to fulfill this need while also creating a product that would stand out from other firearms on the market. Because it was such an innovative concept, Colt quickly became known for their quality products and manufacturing processes when it came to AR-15 Upper Receivers

There are a lot of different types of AR15 upper receivers on the market today. The most popular type is the .223 Remington upper receiver. These types of receivers are not as popular as the 223 Remington or 308 Win bolt action rifles, but they can be used in other calibers such as 5.56 NATO or even 9mm Parabellum ammunition. The important thing to remember when shopping for an AR15 upper or lower receiver is to choose one that will fit your specific firearm and shooting style. There are many different companies that sell these types of receivers, so it is important to find one that fits properly before you buy it.
