During this time period Wirtz also developed new products such as wallet protectors for automobiles, fishing gear cases and other outdoor items; these products continued into the 21st century under various brand names including Western Prospekt®, JB Hi-Power®, etc.. during this time period Wirtz also served as CEO until his death in 2009 at age 94 years old).

Brownwood is a small town in the U.S. state of Texas, located on the border of Hidalgo County and Webb County. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census. Brownwood has seen multiple changes over its history, most notably during the 1930s when it became one of several towns in Hidalgo County that were destroyed by the Great Depression. However, since then it has been slowly regained its former prominence within local government and economy with some recent successes such as becoming a suburb of San Antonio and being selected to participate in the city's master plan for urban growth (the first time any municipality in South Texas has done so).
Brownwood, Texas was founded in 1836 by the partition of the Mexican land grant of Rancho Nueces. The town was named for Captain John Brown who fought on the Texan side during the Mexican-American War. Brownwood became a thriving community with several stores and a school. By 1840, Brownwood had a population of 350 people. The town grew rapidly due to its natural resources and its location at the crossroads of Routes 66 and 21. In 1845, Brownwood annexed what is now Alpine Village. In 1870, it voted to secede from Texas and become an independent country called United States of America (USA).
