In 1933 Don Easley purchased a large parcel of land north of downtown Boerne from cattle ranchers to create the first World War II munitions plant in America. Today Philips Lighting operates one of the world's largest LED lighting systems based out of their facility in downtown Boerne while Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals has operations at their North American headquarters located adjacent to Children’s Mercy Hospital Southwest Campus which houses one of the largest pediatric hospitals in NorthernTexas/ US with over 4500 beds providing care for more than 100 families each day! Archer Daniels Midland Company operates two production facilities located near Wichita Falls TX (Merrill Lynch)and Round Rock TX (Best Buy) that produces aluminum alloyed turbines used by both commercial power generators such as ExxonMobil(XOM), ChevronTexaco(CVX), GE(GE)and White Sands Resources Inc.(WSR)and military aircraft manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin Manned Spacecraft Center(LMT), Boeing Co.(BA) Dow Chemical Company has been headquartered here since 1893 with their main campus situated on Elm Street NW between Houston Street NW-19th Avenue NE which also houses their Corporate Headquarters Today many other companies have operations or have plans to open offices here including: Boston Scientific Corporation (BSCI), Intel Corporation (INTC), JP Morgan Chase & Co., Dell Computer Corporation (DELL), Abbott Laboratories Inc., Microsoft Corporation(MSFT).

Boerne, Texas is a small town in the Midwestern United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. The name "Boerne" comes from Braidwood Creek, which runs through the town. The early settlers in Boerne were Germans who come from Bavaria in southern Germany. They started to arrive here around 1836 and by 1840 there were about 25 German families living in Boerne. At that time, it was named Kappstown after one of their leaders, Wilhelm Kapp. In 1847 Boerne became an independent village and was renamed "Boerne." In 1880 its population had grown to 105 residents and it had a schoolhouse and two churches. At first, most of the farming activity took place on some of the upland prairies above town because there was no irrigation available for many years until new development began along Farm Road 8 near present day Slaughterburg Lake. Today’s downtown Boerne began as a single block of storefronts south of Farm Road 8 when that road was improved into what is now known as Main Street in 1907-08 following construction of a water filtration plant operated by Trinity Water Company which served much of eastern Texas at that time (the current Slaughterburg Park Shopping Center opened in 1984). In 1927 Boerne founded its own civic organization with thirty members: nine men, thirteen women and four children elected Officers; all these ladies being housewives or mothers who cooked meals for their husbands during business hours while they attended City Council meetings where important decisions were made about how their city should be run! In 1934 Mayor Jock Lawson appointed Nellie Capps as First Circuit Court Judge despite objections from other citizens because she could read & write well! That same year also saw the opening of our first post office with Mr. W H Bayless serving as Postmaster General! From then until 1963 when we lost our first postmaster due tobudget cuts we relied on mail service provided by Texaco Mobil Oil Refineries located just east of town on IH 35 Business Loop – 5000+ miles away! It wasn’t until 1978 when we replaced our original one story school building (now listed on the National Register OF Historic Places) with our current three story facility which has been home to BOERNE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS since September 1993! During those nineteen years many updates have been done including increased funding resulting in brand new classrooms, technology systems & renovated bathrooms/showers etc…. during our recent $27 million renovation project additional locker rooms/bathrooms were added to both sides of school so students can move between classes easily without having to leave their seats!!!! While progress has always been made here at BOERNE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS nothing ever comes easy…..we work hard every day making sure each student gets everything they need & want while still learning & growing!!!

Boerne, Texas is a small town in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 7,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The first Europeans to set foot on what is now Boerne were travelers working their way westward in 1821 as part of aCacheros Expedition. The name "Boerne" was given to the place by American soldiers who encamped there while they fought against Mexican forces in1846-48. In 1853, General Sam Houston issued an order thatboers be destroyed and all personal property taken from them. As a result, most of Boerne's early settlers came from South Africa or the British Isles. When Texas became an state in 1907, its capital was moved from Austin to Dallas and then to Tyler when that city was incorporated into the state in 1912. In 1931, Boerne lost its status as an incorporated municipality and became a full-time town under the jurisdiction of Williamson County; however it remains one of its original municipalities within Travis County outside Austin's borders today. The population growth that took place throughout much of Travis County during Reconstruction led to increased demand for land east of I-35 and south of US 183 which made possible the erection of many large rancho/farms along what are now rural arterial streets such as Loop 410 and FM 19609 near today’s shopping malls including Walmart Supercenter (now known as nearby Sears) and Kmart before they were annexed by other surrounding counties during county consolidation in 1965-68 at which time Boerne lost much commercial development along these routes leaving it fringe communities with few economic opportunities until recent years when some redevelopment has resumed around Interstate 35 between IHOP off Loop 410 next door to Walmart Supercenter and Alliant Tech Industries across FM 19609 from Kmart which opened up some new business district possibilities for this rural community - although none have yet replaced or revived what once existed hereabouts prior thereto
