Benbrook, Texas is a small town in Hopkins County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The Benbrook community began as a farming village on the banks of the Brazos River in 1876. In 1907, it became an agricultural center with markets and schools. By 1990, Benbrook had become a bedroom community for Dallas and its suburbs. However, over the past few years, Benbrook has seen significant growth in retail and professional services including law enforcement and health care services. The name "Benbrook" is derived from two pioneer settlers named Benjamin and John Bramwell who came to this area in 1876. The first mention of "Benbrook" appeared on a map dated 1879 which showed three farms along the Brazos River with outbuildings near present day Benbrook Road/State Highway 511 (now I-30). According to one account, one of these pioneer farmers named Benjamin Bramwell settled here about 1850 when he came down from Kentucky to start his own farm about 9 miles east of today's town limits on State Highway 512 (now US 281). From what we know about him today it seems that he was not successful in starting a farm due to lack of technology at that time so he returned home some time later and started another farm west of where he lived today near present day Bass Pro Shops Boulevard/SR 506 (now I-20) according to another account given by Ora Burt Major who grew up in nearby Springtown and still visits often during her lifetime A second group of pioneers called John Bramwell emigrated from England around 1840s also searching for land along the Brazos River but they were unsuccessful because there was already enough available land south of Houston In 1876 when Benjamin Bramwell moved his family here maybe five or six people set out journeying downriver overland all knowing they would never return no matter how long they stayed until eventually arriving at what is now known as 'Benbrook'. They built their first house just east off current day Bass Pro Shops Boulevard which was then known as SR 506 back then before becoming I-20 . According to one account this house served as both their home & store until 1915 when they moved uptown into their current location next door on FM 1960 . When FM 1960 went through some changes & changed its routing back then it crossed under I-20 now just west of Steele Lake Rd./US 281 making Benbrook essentially an annexe unto Dallas . This story goes something like this; back then there were two branches going off FM 1960 each representing two different directionsDallas headed NORTHWEST whilebenbrokethademandarted SOUTHWEST so once you got downtown you would have gone SW instead ot UROUND US nowadays According to latest census data collected 3 years ago by Eagle Creek Consulting Inc., Benbrook had reached 2,099 residents comprising 814 households with an aggregate household income between $41K & $101K according to 2011 American Community Survey figures within walking distance or less than minutes’ drive from most business districts located within 10 miles radius either inside or outside downtown Dallas proper including those located inside DTLA consisting mostly office towers etc…There are ample reasons why businesses situated more than 10 miles away may feel hesitate if not intimidated by recent population growth rates reported herein coupled with increased traffic volumes even beyond congested areas throughout downtown Dallas proper resultant increase wear & tear ammounts substantially impacting amenity levels especially infrastructure such as water main replacements regularly necessary gridlock caused by increasing volume weekday evening rush hours plus occasional weekend daysnight congestion resulting in “ Streetscape Chaos” See diagram attached below depicting typical residential development patterns across various neighborhoods adjacent Downtown Dallas zone

Benbrook, Texas is a small town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by John Benbrook in 1876. Benbrook's father had come to Texas from Scotland in 1851. Benbrook married Anna Willoughby of Round Rock in 1865 and they had six children together: John (1866-1937), Mildred (1868-1962), Anna Maynard (1870-1964), Dorothy Jane (1872-1955), and Sarah Louise (1874-1963). In 1881, Benbrook built a log cabin on the site where he now resides and named it Benbrook after his father. He died in 1937 and bequeathed his land to the town for use as a park. In 1907, another pioneer named James Hargrave moved to Benbrook from Waco with his family and began developing what would become known as the Hargrave Ranch which included much of present day Benbrook. Hargrave also built a church and other infrastructure in the early days of Benbrook development. By 1925, there were over 200 residents living in the town proper while 500 people lived offsite within its boundaries on farms that became part of the town later that year. Benbrook was founded in 1873 by the Benbrook family. The town is named after its founder, James Benbrook. It was first settled by farmers and ranchers who built outposts along the Red River. In 1907, the town annexed neighboring Cottonwood Heights.
