Beeville, Texas is a small town in Potter County, Texas, United States. The population was 457 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what would become Beeville was James Auld who arrived in 1849. He named the village after his friend and neighbor, General "Peggy" Beattie. In 1875, John Fenton began construction of the Pecos River Railroad which connected Wichita Falls with Beeville. The town's growth continued during the late 1800s as farmers supplied goods and services to cities throughout Texas and Oklahoma City before moving to larger settlements in that area such as Fort Worth and Amarillo. In 1903, Beeville became a city when it merged with Wichita Falls to form Wichita Falls-Beeville Municipal District No. 1 (WFBD). At its peak, WFBD had a population of over 100 thousand people and functioned as an auxiliary government for both cities while also serving as an important trade center for local businesses. However, by 2007 WFBD's population had decreased to about 38 thousand people due to suburbanization within Wichita Falls itself as well as declines in agricultural activity across the Houston metropolitan area. However, despite these challenges WFBD has remained one of the most active smaller communities within Potter County since its incorporation into government two hundred years ago. today there are more than 165 residents living in Beeville proper along with nearly 60 businesses including banks, restaurants, hospitals and other cultural institutions catering to its diverse community interests including arts & crafts shows/festivals/university courses/golf tournaments etc.; all without ever breaking stride despite recent economic setbacks or social upheavals; thanks largely to bevilles volunteerISM program which provides essential leadership skills & governance capability through technical assistance on various issues facing our community

Beeville is a small town in Parker County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,546 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The first settler in Beeville was James Hays, who arrived from Kentucky in 1836. In 1838, John Beeson moved to Beeville from San Antonio and began trading goods with Native Americans. In 1840, George Cox settled in Beeville and opened a general store. The first school in Beeville was built in 1845 by Wm. Laddie and his son Sam; it was used as a telephone booth until 1958. A post office called Beevillesville was established in 1850, and remained in operation until it closed on July 16, 1951. In 1861, Jens Jensen bought land east of present day Beeville from William Stroud for $800 cash; he started an agricultural plantation named "Jensen's Prairie." The town of Beeville developed around this property; early residents included Andrew Boyd (1812-1902), Moses Fenton (1827-1906), Augustus Childress (1830-1909), and Nolin Purdy (1835-1900). By 1865 the population had grown to over 100 people living on four square miles of land north of what is now downtownBeeville". During Reconstruction following the Civil War, many new black residents came to Texas through Union immigration efforts seeking opportunity and education opportunities unavailable to them back home in the Confederacy. Many white Texans welcomed these newcomers with open arms because they saw their chance for economic prosperity within reach - especially those who owned land or were able to provide workers for local businesses during Reconstruction period shortages caused by reopened hostilities across the nation. A number of breweries were founded statewide during this time including Anheuser Busch Brewery near Houston which became world famous for its beers such as Budweiser and Schlitz while others such as Lone Star Brewing & Distilling Company became well known for hard liquor products like whiskey In 1907 John Sibley organized a group made up mostly African American men who wanted to end segregation at public schools within Dallas County which led eventually to integration of all public schools throughout Dallas County on November 14th 1957 after years of seething protests by black students
The town of Beeville, Texas was founded on December 7, 1836, by the merger of two previous settlements - Springdale and Pecos. The name Beeville is a corruption of "Beedville" in England. The first post office for Beeville was established on April 5, 1840.
