Bowman worked his farm until1853 when he sold it to James Waddell for $5 per acre ($22 per square mile). Waddell named his new place "Humble Home", which later became "Wade Hampton". In 1865 Waddell married 2nd cousin Margaret Grimes who also came to Beevillle from Garland County, Texas during the relocation of Texans following the American Civil War that ended Reconstruction in America She soon gave birth to 6 children: James Wade Hampton III (1868-1948), Eleanor Clinton Wade Hampton (1871-1960), Edwin Forrest Wade Hampton (1873-1951), Ruth Alice Wade Hampton (1875-1964), Willie Earlham Wadnell (1877-1945) At age 72 years old James Wade Hampton III died suddenly at home while serving duty with World War II infantry units in Europe; remaining estates passed into military hands thru WILLIAM ESTATE REALTY CORP., INC., successor company formed by wife & children posthumously This left descendants numbering over 50 living grandchildren & great grandchildren still living—in 1984 LYNNE HAMpton (& her husband TOM HAMpton) purchased 3 tracts adjacent NW corner of hamptons property & established Lynn Hampton Homes development which includes 5 bedroom/3 full bath homesites/office space valued at $225M+

Beeville is a small town in east Texas, located about 25 miles (40 km) east of Austin. The population was 2,796 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Beeville County. In 1906, Texas Rangers stationed at Fort Worth arrested John Wesley Hardin for conspiracy to rob banks near Dallas. His brother-in-law and fellow Texan Dan Carney became Hardin's only lawyer and helped represent him during his trial in Beeville jail cells before the jury reached its verdict on April 20th; he was found not guilty by reason of insanity and committed to an asylum in Fort Worth. In 1909–10, Methodist missionaries from Dallas erected a chapel here known as the First Baptist Church of America West Indies Mission Station which served as their headquarters for many years until sold to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Austin in 1984. The post office changed its name from Beeville to Austin on February 15, 1910; it became an independent city on November 3rd that same year when annexation by Austin completed.[1] The original downtown core built around First Baptist Church burned down during Hurricane Harvey but was rebuilt with new architecture following a $30 million project led by Mayor Steve Adler[2][3]. Beeville was founded in 1836 by George Beeville and his wife, Jane. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Texas River and its access to resources such as waterfalls and agriculture. By 1845, Beeville had a population of over 500 people. In 1865, the town was renamed to Dallas after Confederate General Robert E. Lee who had fought in the American Civil War.
