Bedford, Texas is a town located in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 7,912 at the 2010 census. Bedford is named after General George Bedford and his army who fought in the Mexican-American War. The town was founded by Baptists in 1872 as a small community near Fort Worth. The first commercial activity in Bedford came about when a water main was built from creek to mill. A store and restaurant were built on the same property that still stands today. Another early business venture took place when farmers donated land for a school district which opened its doors in 1877. For many years Bedford was considered one of the most isolated towns within Midland County due to its location on an impoundment used for cattle grazing operation and lack of transportation options available outside of Fort Worth or Dallas. In 1925, Bedford became an incorporated municipality under the jurisdiction of Midland County with a population of 1,500 residents living within its limits only. In 1965 it annexed portions of San Angelo and Ballinger counties making it surrounded by both jurisdictions with a total population over 10,000 residents! Since 2000, Bedford has experienced significant growth with development taking place throughout downtown including new businesses and residences as well as construction underway on several large projects such as the $60 million Red River Valley School District project which will provide new educational opportunities to area students.

The shirt also had graphic artwork depicting how easy it is to build your own AR-15 from scratch using online resources. In 2013, Black Flag Press published a book called "Takedown: A History of Gun Trolling" which chronicled various incidents where guns were taken from individuals without violence being used or proper legal process being followed. One incident in particular involving a man who took his handgun into self defense after his wife became abusive features full page ads in several newspapers across America advertising his modified gun – titled "Straw Man Shooter" – complete with diagrams showing how easy it is to take control of an unlicensed gun while carrying it concealed! Needless to say, this event did nothing but help headlines across America scream " GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE... PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE!"

The shirt became popular and was reprinted many times. In 1892, a firearms manufacturer named Winchester released a shirt that featured an American flag on the front and the slogan "Firearm Ownership is Second Class." This started what is known as the Gun Culture Movement.
Bedford is located in Bell County, Texas. The population of Bedford was 9,752 at the 2010 census. Bedford is a small town that has been around for over 100 years. The first settlers to move to Bedford were farmers who came from Kentucky in the mid 1800s. In 1881, the Bedford post office was established and continued serving until it was discontinued in 1920. The name of the town comes from John Bedloe who settled there in 1851. He named his farm after Sir Edmund Burke, 1st Baronet of Abington in England. After a few years, John Bedloe decided to change his name to Bedford because he thought it would be more marketable than "Johnstown". The first post office in Bedford opened on October 15th, 1881 and served until it was discontinued on May 10th, 1920. Since its founding, Bedford has had a variety of businesses including a grocery store, two cotton gin plants (one still operates), two lumber yards (both closed), a night club and several restaurants/bars which have since been demolished or replaced by newer establishments. The town also hosted the annual state fair for many years before being replaced by the current Fairgrounds complex which opened in 1991.
