In 1915,[5], two local men named Harry Maynard and Alonzo Lewis started producing ammunition for shotguns in their garage on Main Street in Baytown.[6] Ammunition production continued until 1955 when both men died suddenly.[7] Their deaths left their sons Alonzo Lewis Jr., Harry Maynard III and Harry Maynard IV behind with their original Ammo business.[8] The three brothers continue to run ammo production until now under the name Armor Holdings Incorporated (AHL).[9] Armor Holdings Incorporated became an incorporated business registered with state law in 1988[10].
