In 1903, G&P Manufacturing merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company and began producing rifle barrels under this new name. This merger helped increase production at G&P Manufacturing while also allowing Winchester Repeating Arms Company to produce ammunition under their own brand name. Allen, Texas is a small town located in Starr County, Texas. It was founded by Jesse Allen in 1887. The population of Allen at the 2010 census was 7,592. Jesse Allen was born on October 14th, 1847, in Boston Township, Fulton County, Ohio. He moved to Texas with his family in 1885 and settled on a ranch near present-day Allen. In 1890 he married Sarah Jane Gentry and they raised six children before Sarah's death in 1907. Jesse then married Lillie Mae Kress on November 12th of that year and they raised two more children before her death in 1912. They also operated a general store until it closed in 1939. In 1938 Jesse donated land to the Starr County School District which became the new home of the high school; now known as Lamar High School. In 1949 he gave additional land to the district for use as an agricultural center which still exists today as the Agricultural Center Campus at Lamar University. Jesse died on February 16th, 1966 at age ninety-six years old and is buried there alongside his wife Sarah Jane and their two sons: Wade (1892-1976) and Dick (1903-1988).

Allen is a town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. The region now known as Allen was first settled by Texans in 1836 and named for General James K. Polk. In 1881, a post office called "Allen" was established in Hudspeth County and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1901, the Texas Legislature created Hudspeth County from parts of Travis and Harris counties. The new county had a population of 910 and contained all of what is now Allen except for its eastern edge on Buffalo Bayou which became part of Houston after that city's incorporation into Texas in 1889. Allen grew rapidly due to its location near the Sam Houston Toll Road and its access to timber resources along Buffalo Bayou. By 1920, the town had over 10 storefronts and employed 50 people; it had become an important center for cotton production but also developed into an agricultural center with rice farming being one of its major crops. During World War II, Allen produced munitions for the U.S., including ammunition plants at Clear Lake and Huntsville; these plants were among those destroyed by Japanese bombers during the atomic bombing raids on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6–9 1945. In recent years, much development has taken place within downtown Allen; several large apartment complexes have been built there since 2000 while small businesses have relocated to newer locations around town since then as well - this redevelopment has helped drive increased business activity throughout central Allen Township (the area bounded by I-10 east to north, US 290 west to south), which has seen some modest increases even as core local housing prices continue their steady growth (see table below). While some overall economic indicators remain relatively static or decline somewhat during any given year (e.g., median household income remains rather low despite increasing job opportunities), other metrics are slowly creeping upwards such as house prices reaching above $200K/year on average - something that many residents see as having positive impacts both social stability (due to comparatively little crime) as well as asset values (given generally healthy levels of traffic).
Allen is located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 27,948. It is a city on the eastern edge of Dallas-Fort Worth County and one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas.
