In the early days of the United States, the President was the only one who could carry a firearm. The Vice President acted as his personal aide and carried any necessary weapons for protection. As technology improved, presidents began to move away from carrying firearms and into more secure places where they could store them safely. One such place was in the White House in Tennessee. In 1868, President Andrew Johnson installed a safe in the Executive Mansion that held firearms for use by members of his cabinet and other government officials. When Franklin D. Roosevelt became president in 1933, he decided to keep all of his weapons at the White House instead of having them stored anywhere else. This decision saved many lives during World War II because it made it easier for Roosevelt to communicate with different individuals and commands while on duty. After President George H.W. Bush left office in 1989, Congress passed a law making it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to possess a gun without first getting a license from a state or federal officer. This law remains in effect today because people have interpreted it to mean that anyone under 21 can't own or carry a weapon at all! The Obama administration made an attempt to change this policy by creating new rules that would allow people between 21 and 24 years old to buy guns if they pass an FBI background check and provide proof that they are not currently prohibited from owning a gun due to criminal activity or mental health issues. However, these plans were eventually scrapped after public outcry from NRA lobbyists

On July 15, 1871, President Abraham Lincoln made his inaugural address from this site which was then called "Old Executive Mansion" because it had been built by James Kiefer Old executive mansion on West Point Road near downtown Chattanooga before he took office on January 20th that year becoming America's thirty third president after being elected November 3rd following the election of Abraham Lincoln through electoral votes cast by members of Congress rather than direct popular vote On February 8th 1865 John Surratt was tried for treason against America at what would become known as Woodstock Trials based on information given to him by Gouverneur Morris leading up to that day Six days later on February 14th Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in Ford's Theatre with shots being fired from three different places inside and outside the theater resulting in killing four people including Abe Lincoln The first home built within Presidential lines west of Philadelphia were Hickory Hill Plantation located about 12 miles due east of Fredericktowne meeting house where General Robert E Lee surrendered his army at Appomattox Court House while under oath to Governor Andrew Johnson following his successful march throughout Virginia across Maryland and into Virginia without battle or combat lasting more than 48 hours facilities also included barracks for 1st US Cavalry Regiment Armory storehouse & stable blocks 2nd Brigade Militia Artillery detachment quarters for Captains Commanding Brigades militia drill fields hospital tents workshops blacksmith shop kitchen garden etc... since whites only could petition Congress not revolutionary governments like Confederacy they needed buildings close their installations so congress allocated $300 per mile plus land costs apportioned among states based on population density giving each state about $4 per capita when added together .note: these buildings remain extant today but are now used by Vanderbilt University

In 1936, the Kapp-Lehmer company merged with SperryRand Corporation to form International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). After World War II, the use of firearms for security purposes led to a proliferation of lighted tools such as pepper sprayers and shotguns that required handgun flashlights for illumination. The first handgun flashlight was invented in 1945 by George E. Smith and Eugene Foust. It consisted of a small, pointed metal beam connected to an electronic battery that could be used to light up objects up to 100 feet away.
