After World War II, it served briefly as headquarters for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) before returning back to its original purpose as a presidential palace under Presidents John F Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson before becoming vacant again following Richard Nixon’s inauguration on January 20th 1969 until taken over by Gerald Ford when he came into office on December 4th 1969; again it remained vacant through four subsequent presidents’ terms until being occupied by Barrack Hussein Obama onJanuary 20th 2009 when he assumed office effective January 20th 2008 having been elected November 3rd 1988 with 99% of all votes cast including early voting ballots! Inauguration Day ceremonies were held inside followed by daily operations out front with Executive Mansion closed off from view to allow only press access within limits set forth by Congress prohibiting public tours or photography inside while executive orders continued to be issued out front without notice or commentary from either side! The first African American president ever had his inauguration day ceremony inside what would become also home to our first female attorney general–Patience Taft–followed later that same year by her husband Robert Kennedy after Attorney General Abe Fortas resigned due to health concerns about possible assassination attempts against him during his term! We have now come full circle where we are once more surrounded not just domestically but globallyby people who will do whatever it takesto see us fail!!!
