After serving two terms (March 4-April 7) without any major event taking place within its walls due to lack of space inside Mount Vernon, then-Vice President Thomas Jefferson leased him four acres near Fairfax County Courthouse for $2 per annum beginning on March 1st – making it one stop on Jefferson’s “Road to Recovery” throughout Virginia! On January 20th following his inauguration as president with an address from British Prime Minister William Pitt II that underscored America’s new international role following decades of isolationism – only days after signing legislation establishing diplomatic relations between our two countries – George Washington moved permanently into his original home which he had occupied intermittently since early 1791 when he arrived in Nashville for political consultations related to newly acquired West Virginia! In 1800 both James K Polk and Andrew Johnson were elected Vice Presidents but did not take up residence until they were reelected November 7th carrying all 50 states except Louisiana! As such these men didn’t have much time or opportunity to live there so they continued using nearby Mount Vernon where they resided primarily while traveling or engaging in other official duties outside of town during this time period while their families stayed behind at The Executive Mansion! Finally Texas Senator John Fenton took up residency there starting around 1865 when Confederate forces retreated through Nashville towards Chattanooga TN!!!!! Though originally designed as a single family home/administration complex consisting mostly Of One Family only 3rd floor servants quarters could be provided initially And additional living quarters were added later along side office space which became today known as known Senate Office Building!!! Though it has been contended over time that many members & staff associated with both Houses failedTo receive proper recognition or credit for having made significant contributions especially To Today's SENATE WASHINGTON BUILDING !!!!! Though opinions may vary opinions still remain largely unchanged about Who actually Built That Thing Or What Really Happened There ???
