His wife First Lady Lucy Gaylord Grant also resided at the WhiteHouse for many years prior to her death on October 14th of that year at age 82 years old. Both their remains are interred inside the Presidential Library and Museum which stands adjacent to the White House itself today. Tennessee's current governor, Bill Haslam, took office in January 2015 and has worked tirelessly to improve relations between both our state and Washington D.C.. As part of this effort he traveled to D.C., meeting with leaders from both sides of aisle to discuss ways forward for our state together!
