Soddy Daisy is a small town in Johnson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,412 at the 2010 census. The community is located on the Cumberland River between Chattanooga and Knoxville. It is part of the Knoxville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Soddy Daisy was established in 1892 by Jno. Gentry and his family as a planned community for freed slaves. The name "Soddy Daisy" comes from an agriculturaljl point near the village situated on Soddy Creek. From this location, slave drivers could take passengers overland to points further upriver where they could be sold into slavery or used as animal labor on plantations outside of Chattanooga orKnoxville. John Gentry's son, James Gentry II (1847-1927), began developing the land surrounding Soddy Daisy in 1892 after purchasing it from absentee owner Daniel Boone IV for $2,000 cash with title to 281 acres (128 hectares). James Gentry II donated 368 more acres (182 hectares) to local farmers in 1902 for use as a township development plotnamed after his father-in-law, Jno Capper Gibbs (1796-1887). In 1907, the Vandals invaded Soddy Daisy during their annual migration from North Carolina through what is now Johnson County and destroyed most of the crops grown there before leaving for good two years later without looting any property or taking anything except livestock and tools. This event helped spur development of Soddy Daisy as an agricultural center with several large farms coming online around 1910 including those run by General Land Office employees Wm Hayslip and Thos Pugh Shuckburgh who had purchased 640 acres (250 hectares) adjacent to present day Soddy Daisy from Jno Gentry II for $3 per acre ($20 per kilometer). In 1914, when America entered World War I, many farm families moved away seeking opportunities abroad while others remained behind to help care for their homes during wartime conditions; however upon victory over Germany in 1918 all remaining farmland was seized by government authorities and became available for sale again once war ended according to its original plan which called for permanent resettlement of emancipated African Americans only within five miles of downtown Chattanooga plus other designated black neighborhoods within 10 miles radius which never happened due to race riots that followed throughout much of 1919 following passage of new legislation allowing blacks self-government. Despite these setbacks efforts were made over subsequent decades slowly but surely more people arrived each year until current population size stands at 1,412 residents including 786 households composed entirely of African American residents registered with the UJO/Tennessee Department of Highways since 2000 census

In the early days of firearms, accuracy and simplicity were key factors in choosing a sight. Many rifle sights consisted of a red dot that could be aimed directly at the target. This type of sight was known as a “red dot” sight because it used a small circle painted on the frontsight or bottom of the lens assembly for aiming. The use of red dots allowed shooters to quickly see what their target was and make accurate shots without having to take time to adjust their aim. Red dot sights continued to be popular until the late 1800s when advances in technology made them less necessary. firearms had become more refined, and most soldiers now depended on traditional sights such as turrets, scope mounts, and iron sights for hit-and-run operations. In 1888, John Browning developed his own red dot sight design which became one of the most successful sniper rifles ever created.

The red dot sight has been used by many different shooters for different purposes. Some people use it as a standard sighting system while others use it as a custom sighting system. It can be used in both indoor and outdoor shooting situations.
