In 1855, the town was incorporated as a Village and by 1907 it had a population of 1,500 residents. It consolidated with neighboring towns on Decatur Street in 1909 to form what is now known as Nashville metropolitan area. The growth of downtown Nashville has resulted in increased traffic congestion within Red Bank's small streets and limits its ability to maintain its historic buildings and infrastructure for future generations Red Bank's history can be traced back to pre-historic times when Paleolithic Homo erectus fossils were found nearby which helped evolutionary scientists learn about human evolution from ancient ancestors. The first post-apocalyptic settlement was established by Paleoindians approximately 12,000 years ago named "Eagle Town" after an eagle that roamed throughout their territory during this time period. Eventually humans migrated southward into what is now Henderson County and began farming which led to the construction of churches and other structures soon afterwards In 1795 three men - John Chilton, Andrew Williamson and Ebenezer Cook - arrived from Virginia seeking land grants near Knoxville for themselves and their families only to find that no one wanted them there since they did not have any skills or interests that would make them valuable landowners .
