This company manufactured pistol magazines and revolvers with 14 rounds each including centerfire calibers such as .22 LR and 9 mm Luger rounds. As production increased, so did capacity requirements for these magazines which led to the development of the aluminum alloy frame that is still seen today on all CMI magazines. The early years of CMI Magazine Manufacturing involved many peaks and valleys due to changing demand/supply conditions within industry; however they remain one of America's leading magazine manufacturers today with an annual sales volume exceeding $1 billion
