In 1925, the United States Post Office moved to Mount Juliet from Antioch due to its location on Cumberland River which served as a border between Virginia and Tennessee during that time period. In 1930, the first school opened in Mount Juliet with 11 students in grades K-12. A second school followed in 1951 with 20 students and also operated out of one building until 1959 when it burned down. During World War II, Mount Juliet played an important role as an airfield for General George Custer’s forces who conducted Operation Market Garden from September 1944 until January 1945 while invading Nazi Germany through nearby Chattanooga Valley and up into Northumberland County; this operation resulted in more than 3,000 Ulysses S Grant Air Medals being awarded to citizens of Mt Juliet alone! Today there are only traces of those wartime days remaining as most housing has been destroyed or replaced by newer construction over the years including several schools and businesses that have since closed down or relocated elsewhere within town limits; however some interesting artifacts still remain such as machine guns used during battlements overlooking downtown Mt Juliet (which can be seen today among other relics at Depot Square). Today Mount Juliet sees many tourists throughout the year but few residents because most people work outside of town much like they did back then when all jobs were outside of town even if they did move here later on- things have changed though not too much local knowledge has dropped away like we would expect having grown tired of our own government trying to screw us over once again!

The community slowly regained its former prominence as a manufacturing center during World War II when Birmingham based companies moved to Mount Juliet to produce materiel for the war effort. However, by the late 1990s Mount Juliet's economy had declined and it has since become an agricultural village with few businesses remaining active. Today, Mount Juliet remains a historical site that offers photos and information about its early days as well as insights into its current state
In 1795, the Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolution. The area now known as Mount Juliet became part of Tennessee.
