In Morristown, Tennessee, holster history goes back to 1853. The area was part of the Nashville and Chattanooga RailroadLodge No. 1 organized a holster company in 1853 with Charles W. Goodloe as its first president. Goodloe was born in 1818 in Middlesex County, England and emigrated to the United States when he was sixteen years old. He started his own gunnery business in 1854 and became one of the leading manufacturers of holsters for pistols and revolvers in America. Goodloe also served as president of the National Rifle Association from 1862 to 1865. Over time, different holster companies have been formed within the Morristown community. In 1916, The Western Holster Company (WHC) merged with two other holster companies, The ColtHolster Company (CHC) and The Browning Arsenal Holster Company (BAH). These mergers led to the formation of The Morrison Holsters Corporation (MHC), which is still in operation today. In 1924, MHC merged with John Biddle & Sons Holsters Incorporated (JBHSI) to form Biddle-Morrison Corporation Ltd., which remains a subsidiary of MorrisonHolsters today. From 1949 through 1978, JBHSI operated as a single entity known as JBHI/MorrisonHolster Corporation Ltd., but this name was eventually dropped because it conflicted with Morrison's corporate identity as an industry leader in handguns and carry products overall

The town was first settled in 1814 by Captain John Dickson and his family after they left Morristown, New Jersey for Tennessee to escape religious persecution there. The name "Morristown" comes from the Delaware River where Captain Dickson's hiding place was discovered. In 1847, General Andrew Jackson moved his army into Williamson County to crush the Whiskey Rebellion. General Jackson's army passed through Morristown on their way to Knoxville and encountered no resistance until they reached the river near present-day Murfreesboro. There were several skirmishes and two battles fought near Morristown before Jackson's retreating forces arrived safe at Fort Donelson on April 12th of that year. The community had another event significant enough to be remembered during this time: On October 16th of that year, a group of men led by Elijah Muhammad founded what would become known as The Nation of Islam in nearby Murfreesboro. This event signaled an end to African American Reconstruction in America and helped bring about white flight from Jim Crow America beginning in the early 1920s which caused Morristown's population size to shrink significantly over time (-60% since 2000). Today, Morristown remains largely a rural community with few businesses or residents outside its core ZIP code area; however it still has many notable landmarks including its courthouse - built in 1909 - which serves as both government headquarters for Williamson County (and can seat up to 150 people) and also houses the lower courtrooms for Davidson County Circuit Court (which has jurisdiction over all but one county within Williamson County). Additionally, there are several churches located throughout town - most notably Baptist First Presbyterian Church - while privately owned homes dot the landscape hereabouts (including some large estates dating back centuries), providing much needed economic stability as well as social interaction within its small community fabric despite tight housing markets nationally today amidst changing demographics/needs across regions nationwide...

He built a cabin on the edge of what is now downtown and started trading with other settlers. By 1810, there were nine houses in town and five businesses. The first school was established in 1814 and taught elementary school until 1840. In 1830, a Baptist church was built on Main Street. It served as the town's religious center until 1971 when it moved to nearby Gatlinburg. By 1830, Morristown had a population of around 100 people; by 1870, it had grown to over 200 people! During the American Civil War (1861-1865), many residents fought for Confederate forces; some even became millionaires thanks to wartime commerce and land acquisitions. After the war ended and Reconstruction began, mostMorristown residents transitioned into more traditional Republican Party lifestyles; however, an increasing number of them also turned away from Prohibitionism during this time period The Morristown area experienced some significant growth after World War II: In 1951, General Motors opened its new factory park in Morriston; following that year's merger of GM and Ford Motor Company, plant jobs increased by 50%. Additionally, within a few years MORRISTOWN had become home to several universities - including UT Knoxville (1955), Vanderbilt University (1960), Morehead State University (1965), Southern Illinois University Carbondale (1967). Today MORRISTOWN continues to be one of Tennessee's fastest-growing cities with an estimated population growth rate above 2% each year!
