In addition, these new transportation methods helped develop towns like Nashville and Chattanooga into major economic powerhouses within their respective regions
In 1785, a group of Scots-Irish immigrants arrived in Morristown. They were called the Morristown Famine. The refugees had to leave their homes and start over.
