The optics utilized five green/yellow Lasers which could be focused manually or automatically depending on needs such as windage compensation or rangefinder assistance while firing live rounds. Mcminnville is a small town in Rutherford County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 594 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area. The town was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1819 and named for John McAllister, an early settler. The first store in Mcminnville was established by David McGee in 1824. By 1830, there were six stores operating in the community. The industry that started here soon spread to other parts of the country and made Mcminnville one of the most important towns in East Tennessee during this time period. In 1849, a post office was established here and within two years it had become one of the largest post offices in East Tennessee with over 1,000 residents mailing their letters from here. In 1861, when Union troops arrived to fight against Confederate forces during the American Civil War, many men from Mcminnville went into battle as soldiers. One man even became commander of a Union regiment while serving here. During World War II, much Suffield steel production took place at nearby Humble Industries plant which resulted in large numbers of jobs for people living near Suffieldtown Creek where Humble Industries operated its plants and manufacturing operations were located across three streams (Humble Creek...the Flint River…the Cumberland River). Steelworkers had their own schools and churches as well as social organizations such as unions and political clubs that helped them keep up morale during wartime times; also see: "Humble Industries." In 1917–1920s General Motors built a factory on West Main Street east of present day US 58 just beyond what is now known as GM's old car wash lot; this site still forms part of today's downtown core (see photo right).GM closed its plant after 1945 but North Canton companies ConocoPhillips Refining Company LP., Marathon Oil Corporation LP., Phillips 66 Incorporated continue production until present day at currently two sites - Marathon's former Badin Plant Site off I-65 exit 214 southbound lanes between mileposts 251 & 252 northbound lanes between mileposts 253 & 254 on Lebanon Pike; see photos left) According to oral history research done by author Donald Wills for his book "", about 100 workers who worked for GM at that location later moved to McMinnville when GM closed its plant there c1993-1994 due to competition from Ford Motor Company’s Knoxgate Plant adjacent on Mars Hill Road.; see photos right)

However, by the early 21st century, conditions were deteriorating and Blair County had lost much of its industrial base. Today, Mcminnville is a small community with few residents remaining and little impact on local politics or culture.
Mcminnville was founded in 1818 by General James McNeill, a Scottish-born American officer and soldier. At the time of its founding, it was one of the largest settlements in Tennessee. In 1840, it became the capital of Tennessee. The town experienced growth during the antebellum period, with plantations and mills coming to Mcminnville to extract cotton from the area's soils. During Reconstruction, Mcminnville took on a significant role in helping rebuilt postwar America.
