The targets were made out of hardwood and had a range of about 25 feet. In 1938, the first steel target was set up in Mcminnville by Mr. & Mrs. Hargrave Bros., who ran a gun shop on Main Street just south of town hall. The steel target was 50 feet long and 20 feet wide with a bulls-eye hole in the middle at 100 yards. From this point on, Targets became more common and popular than ever before!
