The company operated until 1942 when it merged with another local business, The Armoury Supply Company (TSC). TSC became known as “The Arsenal” and continue operate today as one of Mcminnville’s top businesses. Gun safes have been used by humans since at least 1550 BC when bronze bullets were being fired into targets with pistols or bows from high up on hills to ensure accuracy during hunting expeditions across Europe. By 1800 AD, handguns had become common enough that castles began having them locked up inside their walls for protection against unauthorized access should anyone attempt to rob them (Langton 1912). European handgun ownership increased significantly during World War II because so many people were forced into service and needed to carry weapons for protection (Fowler 1998). In 1951 THE ARMOURY SUPPLY CO., LTD., established itself as one of America’s leading manufacturers of firearmssafe equipment including safe door systems (Gunnarsson 2002a; Gunnarson 2002b) . It continued making this type of product until 1974 when its products were replaced by Dean National Corporation’s SAFE SYSTEMS division which manufactured both indoor/outdoor firearmsafe doors as well as armored car beds using innovative methods such as welded frames that require no screws or nails whatsoever once installation is complete(Gunnarsson 2002c) . This changeover reflected overall trends insafetech industry where large manufacturers began moving away from traditional shotgunshoulder straps onto safer ground anchors like steel tubes embedded within concrete(Heidemann 2004) . Mcminnville is a small town located in Knox County, Tennessee. The population was 6,052 at the 2010 census. The community is named after Andrew Mc Minn, an early settler. The first settlers in what is now Mcminnville were Andrew and his wife Ann (Fletcher) Mc Minn. They arrived in 1790 and built a cabin on the bank of the Cumberland River. In 1802, they moved to what is today the eastern edge of town. They enclosed their land with chains and set up dykes to prevent flooding during heavy rains. In 1818, they started a school for children in what is now their downtown core. In 1821, Andrew's grandson John McIntosh organized a group of farmers who bought some of Andrew's land east of town and began to plow it into fields that became known as "The McIntosh Fields." By 1830, most of the original settlers had died from disease or warrelated causes or had returned home to live among their kinfolk again. However, about 150 people still lived in Mcminnville when Ulysses S Grant visited it on July 4th, 1868 while campaigning for election as President of the United States; he designated it as one of his campaign stops along the way. During Reconstruction following the American Civil War (1861- 1865), many African Americans fled to Tennessee because of Jim Crow laws which prohibited them from owning property or living within fifty miles of any white person without stripes across their chests - this included both men and women - although they could vote if they residentied inside Union lines at all times during that time period. Mcminnville was founded in 1828 by John and Nancy McNaughton. The McNaughton family had a log cabin located on the banks of the White River, about six miles west of present-day Nashville. They named their new settlement after their father, McNeill, who had died in 1824. The McNaughtons were very successful farmers and merchants in this early period. In 1851, they moved to what is now downtown Nashville and took up residence in the large mansion known as "The Mansion." For many years they represented Davidson County at state and national conventions. In1885, the McNaughtons donated land to become a city limits which became home to much of downtown Nashville. At that time, it was one of the most thriving cities in Tennessee. However, during World War II, Nashville's economy suffered because of wartime production shortages. It wasn't until 1949 that Mayor Jules Ahern initiated plans for revitalization of downtown with the goal of creating an open-air shopping plaza called Park Avenue/Nashville Square. This redevelopment project eventually led to today's skyline view from many parts of town including the McNaughtons' old home on Third Avenue North.

In the 1930s, the area became part of the Tennessee Valley Authority, which led to increased development and prosperity.
