It wasn’t until 1903 when American inventor Adolphus Greely created what is now known as the shotgun; an artillery style firearm utilizing cartridges fired from a barrel in order to create muzzleblast effects across a wide area (see Figure 1). Shotguns have since become one of the most popular forms of self-defense due to their ability to shoot multiple rounds per minute with great accuracy at close ranges while delivering effective damage against fleshy targets (see Figure 2). While handgun shootings remain primarily responsible for most fatalities occurring during hunting season*, airguns continue play an important role in law enforcement activities throughout North America* (See Appendix A). Airguns offer shooters numerous opportunities forpersonal protection compared to handguns* because they allow simultaneous firing of multiple rounds per second without risking injury or damage from recoil*. Additionally*, airguns can be used safely in indoor environments where handguns cannot operate* by shooting pellets through small holes located near the trigger guard or understrap (See Appendix B). Gunshot residue analysis has also been shown to be unreliable when measuring gunshot noise levels – providing valuable insights into how crime is reduced when gunfire occurs indoors*) . Lastly*, although handguns provide instant gratification and occasional excitement daydreaming about lethal Close Quarters Combat scenarios*, airguns offer unique capabilities that make them attractive candidates for training and competition purposes*.

The first store opened here by Hosea Witherspoon and his family on Main Street in 1813. hard times hit the community during the early 1800s, but new settlers came to help support the local economy during this difficult time period. In 1818, a Methodist church was built and served as the community's main facility for many years; however, it burned down in 1865 due to an arson attack by Confederate forces while Union troops were besieging Chattanooga. When Chattanooga became an important rail center after being designated as a strategic military location during World War I, Mcminnville experienced some growth; however, due to economic difficulties that occurred during this time period, the town declined again beginning in the 1930s. However, Mcminnville has seen significant growth over recent decades thanks to its close proximity to Chattanooga and its role as home to various industrial businesses such as defense contractor Raytheon and Tyson Foods Incorporated (now known as Walmart). In 2006-2007, much of what remains of downtown were destroyed by a severe fire which damaged more than 100 buildings including several churches and schools. However since then redevelopment efforts have begun which are ongoing today with plans for more retail space along with additions such as a movie theater/arcade complex and multiple apartments/condos overlooking downtown skyline
The town of Mcminnville was first settled in 1813. It grew rapidly due to its location on the Cumberland River and its natural resources, including timber, coal, and slaves. The population reached 5,000 by 1830. By 1845, the town had grown to 10,000 people and became a major transportation hub for the area. In 1870, Mcminnville hosted the first international fair in Tennessee.
