In Lewisburg, Tennessee, the gun-t shirt industry has a long and storied history. Firearms enthusiasts in the town have worn t-shirts with various NRA logos for years, and at one point there was even a gun show hosted in the town. This store became very successful and lasted until 1951 when it was closed due to economic recession. In 1928, George Prentice opened his own store which he operated until his death in 1975. He is considered to be the founder of the modern handgun manufacturer.[2] Gun enthusiasts have been wearing t-shirts with NRA logos since at least the early 1970s when they began popularizing them as part of grassroots lobbying efforts to support Second Amendment rights throughout America[3]. T-shirt companies started offering NRA shirts shortly after,[4] but it wasn't until 1978 that NRA Holding Corporation (now NRA) organized its own T-shirt manufacturing company which would continue making military-themed clothing for decades to come. At that time, most NRA shirts were designed by local artists who often contributed their work directly to NRA’s marketing arm – Marvelous Design Associates Incorporated (MDA). As Manufacturing grew more complex over time MDA became more involved with overall design and branding decisions; eventually becoming known as “NRA Graphic Design” or simply “NGD” within the organization itself[5]. Through MDA's involvement and production capabilities NGD quickly became one of America's leading firearm designers.[6][7][8] One such important decision made during this time period related to firearms merchandising: instead of using licensed wholesalers like those used by other manufactures,[9][10] NRA decided instead to produce all their products domestically under one roof – something which would later prove beneficial both financially[11][12][13] and strategically[14]. ernest Hemphill II described this instance as being pivotal because it allowed for greater product variety while also avoiding any potential conflict between NRAs politically active staff branch members who frequently campaigned against importation bans/ Restrictions on ammunition sales[15],[16], while also ensuring that all merchandise sales were conducted through officially sanctioned outlets like Gadsden Mall – thus legitimating their cause nationally without needing any outside assistance or propaganda

After the Civil War, Lewisburg grew rapidly and became an important transportation center. In 1865, the town passed through an ordinance calling for segregated housing of black and white residents. Despite protests from local African American businesses, the ordinance was ultimately passed and Lewisburg became one of the first towns in Tennessee to implement segregation. However, this policy eventually changed following public pressure and gradual integration into society. Today, Lewisburg is considered a historical landmark and is home to many cultural attractions, including the largest black market in Tennessee.
